Gretzky really fell off on the ’90’s. Pathetic

  2. YRB19444

McDavid at 414 points already is insane

  3. DoNotResusit8

There’s only three players on that graphic that are top 10 all time. Big Joe ain’t one of them. Not exactly close either.

  4. Yung_Corneliois

Thorton without the beard looks like Napoleon Dynamite

  5. Roguemutantbrain

Unfortunate timing for Crosby. Comes in mid decade, loses tons of games to injury the next decade. Is still putting up whopping numbers at age 35.

  6. garytabasco

If jumbo joe scored the next 3 overtime game 7 cup winning goals in a row he still wouldn’t be top 10 all time.

  7. merlin48

    Jonathan Cheechoo thinks he is.

  8. KolhiiHead69

Thornton isn’t even close to a top 10 player. He’s probably not even be a top 50 player in all honesty.

  9. peaceandloved

    Thornton? Didn’t see that.

  10. therealphoodie

McDavid is already at 414 and we’re less than halfway through the decade 🤯

  11. AceConspirator

Definitely not, no. He’s probably not top 25 either.

  12. tour79

80s Gretz is almost more than any other 2 decades combined

  13. JKolodne

Hard to believe Ovechkin or Crosby didn’t have more than Kane

  14. yosoyboi

Jumbo Joe is top 50. Certainly not top 10 though.

  15. ass_smacktivist

All time top 10 Dman yes. All time top 10 player? No. And this is coming from someone who is biased.

  16. MIDImunk

To OP’s question – Absolutely not

  17. Professional_Entry40

Nah man, but he sure was fun to watch for a while there. Seems like a decent enough feller too.

  18. IdyllicOleander

    Two Hawks up there!

    LET’S FUCKIN GOOOOO!!!

  19. Roberto_Sacamano

Gretsky’s stats never cease to amaze me

  20. WeAreAllFooked

    Not even remotely close.

  21. baker1781

If you take away every point scored by Gretzky in The 90s, he’d still be top 3 all time.

  22. jimhabfan

No, and before you ask, neither is Kane.

  23. mud_dragon

It’s crazy we are only in 2023

  24. petridish21

Definitely not. Love him but he’s probably not even top 50.

  25. Salt-Test7577

Napoleon Dynamite just found his new Stanley Cup partner!

  26. ryguy8105

No, definitely not top 10 all time, but the NHL keeping him off their top 100 players of all time list is absolutely ridiculous

  27. Electric-Lettuce

    What a stupid question

  28. QueefyBeefMeat

Sweet McJesus we still have 7 more seasons this decade to watch the Man himself

  29. Ordinary-Pirate2869

    Nope, not even close.

  30. LegalComplaint

There are as many Blackhawks as there are Gretzkys on this…

  31. PRMan99

If you don’t have at least 2-3 Cups, how can you even be in the conversation? Great players win.

  32. rudecanuck

No? This is not a hard question to answer.

Lemieux, Gretzky, Orr, Crosby, Jagr, Howe, Hull, Sakic, Forsberg, Roy, Hasek, Brodeur (yes, the infamous Goalie run), Ovechkin (yuck), Lindros (another Yuck), Espiosito, McDavid, and even Kane….All definitely better than Thornton. Those are really without question. And we only have 1 Defencemen in there! Include Coffey, Lidstrom, Neidermeyer, Pronger, and he drops even more.

HE was an awesome playmaker though.\

ALSO, yes, my Penguins fandom biases how I list the players above.
