  1. Bet tman face off $1,000 dark or light who wins players don't see it that way gross hockey City if you even call it such a joke fixed for Las Vegas

  2. AFrom an Avs fan – all those trying to belittle Vegas are small-minded jealous people who's team most likely haven't won Stanley Cup at all or for a long time!

  3. Vegas shows no loyalty to its players. Nate Schmidt being signed than traded away was a disgrace

  4. As a Devils fan who lives in Toronto (it's been an interesting experience), and having been to Vegas twice and going to Golden Knights games twice, I will say I've been impressed with how much that city has embraced the team.

The arena experience is one of the best in the NHL (I'd say it rivals Montreal), the support is well beyond the strip. Go to the suburbs, go to other towns, you see VGK license plates and bumper stickers. This city has embraced the team, there's no question about it.

Anyone saying "oh is not a hockey town because they haven't suffered" or "because they have cheerleaders or beach balls", you're really grasping for straws and it's pretty evident you've never seen a game in person. The complaints sound like just bitter old schoolers who think everything has to be done exactly the same way.

That's the joy of Vegas, they put their city's stamp on their team and do things with a Vegas spin. And i applaud them for that.

It's my observation that most people who say Vegas isn't a hockey city are either bitter souls who default to crapping on most things to make themselves feel better, or jealous of their success.

  5. I’m from Vegas and I can say we are a loyal n true fan base , people who say that we’re not a true fan base should instead of talking out of their ass go to games and see how loud we are, and there’s a thing on the Jumbotron, where it says all the ladies scream all the men scream all the locals scream, and when the local part comes up, it gets super loud, not only do we love our golden knights but they helped us become a city after the 2017 tragedy he helped us heal . So I just think it’s quite funny to all those people who get so upset and so heated that Vegas is a championship city within six years and call Les fake fans. Just keep crying. Those salty crocodile tears because we love them. We love all the heat that we get we love being the villains of the NHL. But on that Stanley cups has the names of all 53 names, players, coaches owners presidents of the team that will never be taken off and will be etched in history forever.!

  6. I moved from Vancouver to Vegas last year and everyone i’ve talked to about the team is so supportive of the team and some of them are still learning the sport itself. They love this team

  7. Well said Johnny. I'm a Habs fan but I was not unhappy to see Vegas win the Stanley Cup. Congratulations Vegas ! Go Habs Go !!!

  8. We’ll see how good of a fanbase they are when it’s time to rebuild

  9. Ok, except they've won 1 more Stanley Cup than every Canadian based team combined since 1993.

  10. I will always respect the Golden Knights for letting Phil Kessel cruise to a third cup with hot dogs

  11. when the golden knights begin to regress and are no longer contenders…..the fake fans will be exposed and well all see if vegas really is a supportive hockey market they seem to be

  12. If you win a Stanley Cup and one hour later the party is over I mean I dont think its hockey city for me. I dont think any Us city is a hockey city, NFL NBA MLB MLS are more important. Yes they have fans but its nothing compare to Canadian city. Thats my opinion!

  13. great video man! i honestly was a caps fan growing up in vegas. there was barley any hockey after the wranglers folded. it was amazing to follow this time that first year. and even better with them here its also given me an amazing job and really opened me to what i wanted to do with my time growing up here! I see knights stuff everywhere even in Henderson is just crazy how far along they have come. felt like yesterday i was at the draft for the time. keep up the great work though been loving the channel.

  14. Vegas is not a hockey city. Yes the Golden Knights have been embraced and loved by locals. And yes that is there team and have die hard fans. Butthat does not make it a hockey city. There is a lot more to being a hockey city than having an NHL team and having success.

  15. I grew up in the dirty jers a hockey fan… moved to vegas in 95. I wasnt sure when they announced the Knights if people here would embrace hockey but they sure as hell have. There is vegas gear EVERYWHERE! Cars, peeps, houses, businesses you name it. Even when i rock my devils gear i get people chirping me for it so as a proud hockey fan And a Knights fan i can say that yes, Vegas is a hockey town.

  16. You ruined the joy of the video by mentioning that the success of Vegas is good for Bettman, Nothing good for that man is good.

  17. Didn’t agree with the slash on Draisaitl but I believe Vegas was the deepest team in the conference finals.

  18. NHL was the first to grant Las Vegas a big league franchise of the four major sports. (I love ice hockey!)

  19. This team brought Vegas together before they even started playing, and now they have a treasure trove of "lore" for their first half decade+ already. Sure, other teams have bled more for less success, but VGK's success is great for the league and the sport, at least just as much as any 1st time Cup winner is.

  20. I, like alot of people said Vegas wouldn't work for the NHL. I eat my words. After seeing how the fans are there, I can definitely say Las Vegas IS a hockey city! 🎉

  21. Let's be fair here. Vegas was gifted good players due to other GMs mistakes or cap dumps however the rules did change and Vegas was the only expansion team since the late 90s. Anaheim and Florida is a good example to which they share the expansion establishment in 1993. Also Vegas was exempt from Seattle's expansion to which I called bs because like other teams in the 90s like Florida or Anaheim both had to give up to in their 5 year in the league. Ottawa was established in 1990 and in two years they gave up players. The league made it easy for Vegas and Seattle to be good off the bat.

I understand how ppl say I'm being salty over Vegas success but let's be true here Vegas had a much easier expansion draft and used assets off the bat to gather top players.

  22. The people saying Vegas isn't a hockey town are the same people to have never been there and see for themselves lol. I can promise you, as someone who spends a lot of time in Nevada, the Golden Knights are very popular there AND across the whole state. In Reno, it's common to see car decals and flags for the Knights, and even in rural Great Basin towns, Golden Knights logos are proudly displayed over any other sports logos!

To get a bit deeper as to why they're so state popular, I think it's because Nevada doesn't really have any major, unifying state college or professional teams like say Alabama has for college football or Wisconsin for professional football with Green Bay. So when the Golden Knights were the first major team to call Nevada home, that de facto made it the state's unifying major sports team, especially since they were so successful from the start which garnered lots of new fans. Also, the unfathomable scale of that shooting a week before their inauguration played a huge role for immediate team success and fan support, but that's a plot line for the movie they'll make about this team one day, "The Golden Misfits"

  23. That Guy made up a bunch of obvious lies and I'm sure he was trolling but anyone who's' been to one of our games knows Vegas is a true Championship Hockey Town! Go Knights Go!!!

  24. I’ll admit I was skeptical about Vegas being a hockey town…. But Vegas has absolutely embraced the Knights and hockey. Of course making the finals in the first year and now winning the cup certainly helps solidify a fan base.

  25. I'm a Vegas native for almost my entire life, this city for the Knight's is BUZZING! The Knights are the heart and soul of sports here. And with a Vegas sports market growing and expanding the Knights are the reason and will be the city's sports team.

  26. Here is a question: When a fan base has been built on nothing but success, what happens when they struggle?? The Knights won't be a top team forever. It's the natural evolution of things. We will only know if Vegas is truly a hockey city when their team sucks. Do fans show up for a basement Vegas squad?? I think it's too early to know.
