I'd stick with Kuzie and Mantha. Both guys can be finetuned properly under aspiring new coach, I'm sure both are due for a bounce-back season

  2. I think at this point the last big swing would be Nylander. He was amazing on Carberys powerplay in TOR. He’s 27yo and really playing the game well. I think it would be wise to package a Kuzy plus a high draft pick. The backup at the center position is starting to hurt the younger guys coming up. Moving Kuzy would allow a spot for McMichael to crack the C position. I also love draft picks but I often wonder if they get overvalued at times due to the unknown. This may be crazy but I like the prospect pool they have and I would 100% put a first in a deal for Nylander. To be honest with that first you’re only praying you draft someone of Nylander skill set. Why not just go get the man himself. It’s risky but I think it’s their best attempt at even trying to compete.

  3. I think the window is closed for sure but it's too late to rebuild before Ovi retires. I was calling for as early as '19. Seeing as it's closed and they owe it to Ovi to keep going for it I don't know what their options are

  4. I 🤔 caps need to get younger. Why caps cannot use 6 forward from Hershey bears. Give young players a chance to strive under older core. Carbury need to work magic to make it happened. I 🤔 window is closed for them.

  5. For me, it's been disappointing since they won the cup. They are more like the 80s Capitals which were very frustrating. I know it's old business, but I do think Trotz not being resigned was a big red flag. Maybe if he'd been here, it would have just delayed an inevitable collapse, I don't know. I still think that was a big mistake.
As to this coming year, I don't have high expectations. I hope things work out with Pacioretty, but that's a big if health wise. It's more of a matter of we'll see about the whole team. We'll see if they can come together under Carbery. One thing about not having high expectations is that if the team doesn't do so well then it isn't so big a deal. I just have to avoid the Penguins fan upstairs.
