Once myers bonus is paid, you might as well keep him, serviceable 3rd pair, 3R. What would you get back to make the trade worthwhile?
Honestly the only left handed Dman I actually trust to play the right side is Hughes.
Regardless if either of them have played the right side in their careers before, I think Soucy and Cole should stick to their natural side. If you go out and sign Dumba to a quick 1 year prove it deal then you can have more balanced pairings but Soucy and Cole aren’t quick guys and I don’t want to watch them get burned of their off sides.
What I like seeing is a more physically engaged defense…. no more OEL penalty kill flamingos. Add to that Soucy , Cole, and Ingram defensive responsibility and willingness to hit and be a little nasty. Will make a substantial difference. I promise you new age milenials a physical presence is essential.
