Yeah the last few years he didn’t have any depth so he had to start some rookies but usually Tomlin don’t like starting rookies unless they are really good and really ready. This year he has his depth back so he’s not hurting for quality players. The rookies will be playing but some more than others. I would love to see trice out there but the reality is that unless he’s looking like he’s in his second year we probably won’t see him much the first half of season.
It really pisses me off listening to these sports gurus predicting we go 8-8 or 9-8 again or a few said we get our first losing season and come in last in our division. I’m a homer but objectively looking at this team compared to last year, with this schedule any sensible person would agree that we are gonna be at least 2 games better. I believe as a homer that they are going 12-5 and winning the north or second place. I watched our 2022 season today and watched Kenny throwing the ball and watching his movement and he was making some dam good throws, I mean in tight windows and they way he was seeing the field and moving and this year we are gonna see a better command of the field and he’s gonna dissect defenses as he sits in the pocket a little more comfortably and confident. I realized that that is where this excited feeling is coming from. It’s Kenny, he is what’s gonna make this team special or more special than I already have been feeling it is. We might only make a little progress this year as far as our record, we might be 10-7 or 11-6 I think as long as we can win our first playoff game we are moving in the right direction for the 2024 season to make a legitimate superbowl run. Once Kenny gets into that groove this season there ain’t gonna be any stopping him. He’s gonna feel it and we are gonna see it and feel it too and watch out, his era has begun, and it could be in game 1 or in preseason game 3 but we will know just like we did with Ben his rookie year, I felt it and knew Ben was our guy for the long haul. I am a huge fan of starting rookies. I think that nothing can replace game experience and game reps. Rotting on the bench does nothing but waste time. I predicted that benching Kenny Pickett at the start would cost us the Playoffs…and that is precisely what happened. Frustrating to see it play out.

I think there is 0% Peterson is not starting outside in the base. I do think if Porter is ready, he'll get his shots outside in the Nicke/Dimel with Peterson kicking inside.

Please don't ignore the quality of opponents at the end of last year compared to the early season schedule. Steelers got better, but if the schedule were reversed we may not be saying that now.
Honestly we could finish last in the division. If Watson is good and Lamar/OBJ goes off we may be in trouble
Levi Wallace is still on the team DK. I’m not hearing much about him lately. Maybe once camp hits we will hear more if he is out there looking like true vet an preforming at a high level. Otherwise I would like to see the rookies get a shot.
