By offering Samsonov 50 % of a fair wage – the Leafs basically told him 1) they don’t appreciate & respect him for being the first Leaf goalie in 20 years to win a playoff series.

Giving Samsonov a tandem goalie a year will give Woll the time he needs to be the Leafs number 1. One more thing about Woll, you can’t send him back to the Marlies Without going thru waivers. Then guess what happens, the Leafs lose Another goalie they drafted. Karlsson won’t go to Carolina because Brent Burns is there. He hates Burns.

Erik Karlsson? Lol the Leafs will have such significant difficulty fitting any portion of his cap hit on the team that I see his joining that team as unlikely, at least before that team knows by how much for next season, the cap will rise, at any point this season.
