They still are not ready to compete, next year and a couple years after they should try to get to the playoffs. The players they have only one scored 20 goals and it was his first time. Detroit doesn’t have enough players who score.

The only question I had was was Why James Reimer, when they maybe could of got a deal on Helleybuyck who is also a Detroit native and wants out of Winnipeg. I would like to know who all you would of traded or signed to Detroit instead of who Yzerman picked? And why are people so low on Justin Holl who played on weak Toronto team, who could be better on another team like Detroit. Yzerman obviously seen something he could improve in his play or he would not of signed him.

I think a lot of people are under estimating us for this season. I mean we were still playing meaningful hockey into the back end. In all honesty the 2 losses to Ottawa was more of a blessing. Considering that I believe since the off season this team once again is better than the season that just went.
Don’t get me wrong this division will still be tough. Still have Florida Toronto ect on top. But there is also aging teams about to fall off.
Also Yamamoto was basically a cap dump for Edmonton and it was just part of the deal to get kostin. Basically did Holland a favour. Because you know “ future considerations” eg NOTHING

Oh yes I remembered some: I reckon first line will be Raymond – Larkin – DeBrincat. Talk among Detroit fans if this line stays healthy and clicks could we see Larkin hit a 100pt season.
I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s juggled through out the season to balance out the scoring will see
