Hronek was Detroit's best D-man for most of last season, I think people are dramatically underestimating him. Giving up the 17th and 42nd gambles, is not unreasonable for a proven true performer.

you have to realize RT loves PdG, so i can see him playing with Miller along with Boeser. Petty with Kuz, and Mic. Teddy, with AB, and Pearson if he can play, if now Pods. Aman, Joshua, and Garland
If you play soucey in conjunction w peteys line then boeser is ok. However i feel This team needs a wrecking ball forward to create space. R. Torres type for example. We don't really have a big hitting forward and that matters in order to win. Tkachuk carried the panthers to the final for example… sure he's an extreme talent example but the point is how much that matters in playoff success. I love the toughness on D but we need it at forward too, esp C
After re-reading my last comment it reminds me how much the popular idea of drafting Benson would have been a mistake. Our forwards need to get bigger n meaner. You have to build for playoffs success not regular season popularity
Mykeyev was exceptional on the 1st line n if memory serves me that line was 1st or 2nd in the NHL before he got shut down by the team. So I'd say it's obvious that's where we should start.
