  1. Happy Birthday Bergeron (yesterday)
He was done after Game 7. No surprise.

  2. Amazing career! Very like first ballot hall of fame. At this point I'm suprised they haven't re-named the Selke trophy after him 😂

  3. Much respect and deserved this retirement. Great player. Hope bruins go though a long and difficult rebuild.

  4. Bergeron was a heck of a player….the only problem with his career was that it was not with my beloved Habs!!!!
I've watched him over the course of his career and EVERY TIME i would regret that he wasn't wearing a Habs uniform especially back in the day when he was killing the Habs on the score sheet while Lucic was pounding them physically on the ice….geesh!!!!!
All the best to Bergeron in his retirement.

  5. Diehard Ranger fan, must say he is a CLASS ACT. The Bruins and the game of hockey 🏒 will miss him. Shoe in too the HALL OF FAME 🏒🥅🏒🥅

  6. As a Senators poor hearted Senators fan, Congratulations 🎊 on you're amazing career, it's incredible watching you play against Ottawa Senators many times and other teams as well, to me….. you deserve to be in the Hall of Fame because you have incredible career, definitely when you won the Stanley Cup for the East Confence, 🎉🎉🎉

  7. I selfishly wanted him to return for the centennial season, making it an even 20 with the Bruins. But he has earned his departure ten fold. He should have a couple more cups and should have been captain for years prior to him actually becoming one. Nothing but respect for this guy

  8. WOWsa!! I certainly wish Patrice Bergeron the best in retirement, but, this really changes things for the Bruins, who must now replace him and ,possibly, David Krecji, as well. We'll see how it impacts the team.

  9. Congrats to Patrice!!! Amazing career and a well deserved retirement!! The Bruins have some large shoes to fill!

  10. Congratulations to Brad Marchand for being named the next Captain of the Boston Bruins! Well Done 63 !!!

  11. This could effect the Ottawa/Detroit trade of Drencat. Boston's no. 1 draft pick was part of that deal.

  12. As a Leaf fan glad too see him retire,he has burned us too mant times, no more, lol, he deserves retirement his body has been thru hell and back, going out winning the selke trophy, for the last time in his last season was nice too see, enjoy retirement Patrice

  13. "Huge" is not what I would call this, just another person who retired, people do it everyday worldwide.

  14. I'm not a fan of the team. I'm A Staunch Hater of the team, but I've always liked & respected Patrice Burgeron. I think, that, is why They Should Rename The Trophy For Him

  15. I am a lifelong Bruins fan. Patrice Bergeron has been my favorite player for 20 years and ranks among my favorite all-time players. I remember watching him in Providence during his second year when the NHL was on strike. It was obvious then he was a special player.

  16. He likely looked at their record setting season and figured if that team couldnt win it he will never see the cup as a Bruin moving forward so giving it up.He was a plus 289 that tells you how competitive he was outplaying other teams top players. However being a habs fan seeing the Bruins start to falter makes me happy lol.He got his cup years ago he got several awards he was highly respected there really was nothing left for him other than hoping for one more cup.
