    Well… that’s it for Dumba…

**The Arizona Coyotes** – Where players are near the end of their careers and where contracts go to die.

  2. EyeHeartBidets

So who’s running the PP1? Him or Durzi?

  3. PatrickKingNSFW

They’re not a dark horse but they’ll make games more interesting than the last few years. Logan Cooley is no joke

  4. Hollandmarch76

They’ll wisely trade him at the trade deadline for a pick. Good signing for them.

  5. jholden23

    Where are they getting 4M?

    Oh right, the other teams.

  6. Several_Ranger6985

Yea and the Blue Jackets will win the 2024 Cup

  7. imaybeacatIRl

Dark horse? No. Sorry. That culture is fucked. They will be better than last year, though.

  8. BubbaSpanks

For finishing last maybe …but a contender nah

  9. Francis_Hustler

dark horse fort what ? 1st OA ?

  10. HanSolo5643

No, not this year. While I think they should continue to see signs of improvement, this team is still 1 to 2 years away from being a playoff team.

  11. Rowdy_Roddy96

Alright so for sure we know that there are no defenseman worth signing in FA so now that the EK65 trade has happened it might open the floodgates for more deals in the future! I’m getting pumped up for this!!

  12. Key-Surprise-9206

They are honestly underrated, decent goaltending, a good forward core with their young guys and now Jason zucker, just really bad defense but with some underrated players there

  13. Suspicious-Dog2876

Are we even sure the yotes are still a thing

  14. FatherFenix

    Nope.

None of this is to legitimately compete, it’s to provide the young prospects some “elder statesmen” to learn from and feel a little more competitive. Dumba and Zucker are great for that, but the goal is to give the top prospects meaningful ice time with people they can learn from, not pretend we’re a dangerous team.

  15. TheBurroOfficial2211

Yikes Minnesota. That one has gotta hurt

  16. Tkachuks-Mouthguard

Definitely a dark horse team to win the lottery

  17. The-420-Chain-Smoker

No Arizona will not. Sadly. I wish they were more competitive but that hasn’t happened since 2012

  18. OnlyHereForMemes69

Ah yes, we were all saying Arizona is one Matt Dumba away from competing.

  19. DanTreview

Why is ‘approximately’ in quotes? Does that mean it’s actually *not* approximate?

  20. SkarTisu

I need to look at Arizonas cap situation sometime. It seems like they take on everybody else’s dead contracts but somehow stay cap compliant. Did they get an exemption from the league and are putting a $7B team on the ice this coming season?

  21. cuntyminx

As in the lights aren’t on in the arena

  22. Fjordersen

I’m pretty sure this is the ole “play with us till the deadline and we’ll sell you to a contender for 2 mill.”

  23. TrustinJudoPMMA

Lol is this a joke post

  24. Proposal_Mountain

Yes Matt dumba ( the player no other team wanted ) puts this notoriously bad franchise in the dark horse contender category /s

  25. sandysanBAR

They play in a barn so maybe?

  26. TopshelfWhiskey88

I’m convinced 99% of people on r/NHL have never even watched a Coyotes game. They are a fun team to watch, lots of energy. This year should continue the trend.

Hell no they aren’t a contender. But neither are most teams that people convince themselves are.

  27. x5u8z3r0x

More like a horse stumbling around in the dark

  28. StillPiano8746

He should bring back the shaved head look in the dessert!

  29. Jerseyman2525

Hi Yotes fan here… no. Not at all.

  30. speedingsaveslives

I know he fell off, but he was one of my favorites for sure
