I'm really excited, I suppose the only way this could have been better is if somehow Jeff Carter got shipped somewhere else but Dubas isnt Houdini, but he sure pulled a rabbit out of his hat on this. And yeah it didn't work out in Toronto but no doubt he tried. This may not work either but you cant question the effort. And yeah tell Dali its good for all of us, fans too. Thanks DK.
Now I feel confident that if there's a goaltending problem it will be addressed early in the season.
Count me in, I'm excited as well. For the plan, for the player, and for the new vibes that Dubas brings in. If he tries to do (and can do) the right things now, he will do the same during the season when he sees any flaws. That's the direction you want to go!
@DK: at the end of last season, knowing what you knew back then, you were skeptical towards FSG. How do the developments of last months influence your view on them?
That’s not exactly true that there leftover 700 K. Jake Getzel, when he comes back from LTIR We have to free up 6 million to get him back and where are we going to get that from?
I just hope Letang is cool with this. Curious if Letang stays on the top pair. Hope he doesn’t feel slighted. They’ve always reminded me of one another.

The last 2-3 years have been tough. Not much to be excited about. But in 35 years of loving this team and as you mentioned, I feel we're in GOOD hands!! Quite a piece of work this trade was. 😊👍🏻👍🏻

Was really looking forward to your take DK (which i think is great). I'm right there with you on this being an excellent trade.
If I was a Sharks fan I'd be upset with this trade, but I'm not, so… That said, I hope egos on this team don't sabotage what adding a player like Karlsson could and should bring. Letang might be the best defenseman of the Penguins all-time, but Karlsson is the best in terms of offensive, puck moving defenseman this team has had since Coffey, and should be utilized accordingly. There's a reason he's making $11.5 million a a year, even if the Penguins are only responsible for $10 million of it and if the highest paid player on the team is taking a back seat to another because of some kind of seniority/inferiority complex, then what are they even doing bringing him in? He's also the best player they have for the PP now, and he needs to run it. Letang can stay on the left wall and Malkin needs to do something else if he wants to remain on the top unit at all. Like I said before, they need to run the PP like they did when Gonchar was here, with Karlsson in his place, right shot or not.. This idea of Taylor's that they now will have two potent PP's is not going to happen and shouldn't. With Guentzel out to start the season, I hope Rakell gets used in his place.
