I always wanted Max Domi to play for the Leafs. Watching Tie cheer on Max on all those other teams always seems wrong.
They need to pass chemistry class first , but the leafs will be entertaining to watch , the eastern conference will be a dog fight from the start to the finish of the season .

Playing on the top line and you know who I mean was such a pretender…not once did he drop his gloves or lay a big hit ..he took dirty penalties and cried all the way to the box…he only scored because of the supreme talent he he was with…you know who I mean!

As a Habs fan all I can say is domi has stretches of good play , he was really good his first year in Montreal, then he takes horrible penalties, and can disappear. There’s a reason he’s on his sixth team in ten years.

As a Leafs fan, I was 100% more excited for the Domi signing, still love the Bertuzzi signing but. For me, Domi as someone who’s been around toronto his whole life, watching his dad play for the blue & white, he’s got the skill, got the grit, the passion. He’s like the perfect Leaf. Very very excited to watch him play for us 🤍💙
Burt’s good but he’s always injured that’s why the wings moved on, I think max will probably have his best season next year
I dunno man. If Domi cared as much as he reportedly does, why the one year contract? To demand a bigger deal next year when the cap goes up and Nylander potentially is off the books? I’m suspect that he cares so much he’ll “do anything” to stay. It’s a cool story and he should be good, but that 72 point year was a while ago, no one has really flourished alongside Tavares and Nylander 5v5, and Domi might have to beat out Knies for a spot in the top 6.

tbh I would rather have Domi be on the 3rd line and let him run it. Domi is a pure playmaker and having him with marner who also demands the puck most of the time maybe wont mesh that well. So my personal game 1 line-up is
Bertuzzi – Matthews – Marner (no explanation needed)
Knies – Tavares – Nylander (last year JT and Nylander worked really so if not broken don't fix it. Knies currently is living with JT, so a full year with him will give him a lot or experience )
Robertson (when healthy) – Domi – Jarnkrok
Reeves – Kamp – Lafferty
this will be max domi's 7th team lol
If I'm Keefe, i put Domi on the Matthews line. Sure, Bertuzzi is probably better, but Domi is a better enforcer.

Without changing the Leafs core 4 – how can Leafs escape the playoff disappointment patterns of the Dubas Years? While bringing in these good players will it matter as long as the Leafs keep their Core 4? Guess it doesn’t matter. Maybe winning in the playoffs is overrated pressure on the Leaf players & fans anyway?
