Beauvillier is an interesting one, and I can see why the team took him back in the Horvat trade. He’s obviously not a centre, but helps offset some of what they lost in Bo.

Couple years younger than Bo, left shot, decent goal scoring ability (averaged ~18 goals/82 over his career).

It wouldn’t surprise me if he’s able to replace ~2/3 of Horvats offence for ~1/2 the AAV next year.

    >”As a team, I think we can turn a lot of heads. We have the right pieces and I believe we have what it takes. I’m not the only one excited on our team. I feel like everyone is looking forward to the season.”

Miller said this last week, Beau this week. We know Boeser reaffirmed his want to stay, Hughes and Petey will be one year older (and stronger), etc.

If Demko stays healthy, we keep or improve our 12th best SA/GP, and drastically improve our PK, we should be a playoff team

Good to know he likes it here and thinks it’s a good fit, but he’s also a UFA next season and it’s interesting that we haven’t heard anything about a potential extension.

If they think he’s part of the long-term plan it would probably be smarter to sign him between now and December before he has a career year playing with Petey and Kuzy or next summer he’s gonna ask for a lot of money or go to FA and we lose him for nothing

I love the guy, but he’s my #1 candidate to trade, I think its a joke that we still have him tbh. we’re gonna be raked over the coals trying to get rid of anyone with term when Pearson and Mihkeyev both come back from injury, and we have to lose Hoglander on waivers to make space for these overpriced players in « veteran roles ».

Beauvillier was fuckin’ hot when he first came here and slotted so well into Bo’s slot position. He was averaging peak Horvat numbers for a little bit there with his tip ins and slot agitator status.

With him kind of playing that role, I wouldn’t mind seeing him taking shifts in that slot position on the second line where Miller goes to the left wing to take his deadly snipes. Throw a prime Podkolzin in there too for speed, grit and forecheck with good puck retrieval.

Leaves some interesting options for the 3rd line. Boeser, Pearson and Bluger? Pearson and Boeser both are slow though and don’t have good backcheck.. so MAYBE Boeser, Blueger and Garland/Hogz?
