Compared to last season yea, but when compared to the rest of the league, not rly they're a maybe wildcard team which isn't awful but not great
What bothers me tho is seeing some bruins fans saying that our next 10yrs are gonna be awful, we still have an amazing D core, solid goaltending and pasta (who put up 60 goals but no one rly noticed) if you can't retool a team with those players than we have a different problem, give us 2-3yrs, maybe even 1 and we'll be contending or dark horses at the very least
Down below
They're going to make it to the second round of the playoffs this season as a 6 or 7 seed. Not a legitimate Cup run, but still—far better than last year. Pasta, Mac, Lindholm, Debrusk, the goalies, Marchand—that alone is a better core than over 50% of the teams in the NHL right now.
Good analysis here big man. 💯. The absences of notable names next season will be, well, notable. Let’s hope the impact won’t be too deep.
it will be interesting to see Debrusk on line two (if that is the case.) With a guy like Bergy feeding you the puck all year it can be a stat booster. Also curious to see Lucic play, lets see if he plays with his heart on his sleeve this year.
nope, they ain't
