En tant que fan des Pens, ce sera bien de le voir enfin prendre sa retraite en tant que Penguin. J’ai juste des sentiments mitigés en le ramenant.

Why aren’t they bringing Gretzky back too? Are they stupid?

  2. 136AngryBees

Lemieux is doing air squats right now getting ready to join him

  3. ubcthrowaway-01

Crosby retiring before Jagr will be hilarious

  4. WrekkmeRalph

Wait this isn’t real is it?

I saw this yesterday and assumed it was a joke.

  5. GroundbreakingCow775

Only if he wears a jofa

  6. Alive_Recognition_81

I love that Jagr is such an animal when it comes to longevity that no one knows if this is a joke or not lmao. MF could come back and get a 3 year contract for all we know and still produce.

    “You must be truly desperate.”

  8. Not_my_real_name_cuz

    Not sure if you’re serious

  9. UsernameChallenged

I’m assuming if there is any truth to this, it’s a one day contract to retire?

But honestly, I’d take him for a year over Carter.

  10. amach9

Is he just signing a 1-day contract?

  11. v13ragnarok7

Cmon. Seriously? Jagr would probably be down with a 4th line role. He plays on a team he owns in a European league…but still. Really???

  12. Infinite-Sleep3527

Can’t wait to get in on the Jagr Conn Smyth futures

pens running an 11/7 squad w karlsson in the mix? no real prospects in the pipeline. if he can still play on a league min, then why not.

  14. mihelic8

Just trying to make the pens the oldest team in the league

Get Mario to lace up and here’s the PP1 unit next season

    C- Crosby
    LW-Malkin
    RW- Mario

    LD-Jagr
    RD-Karlsson

  16. Stockton20969

I’m genuinely embarrassed how many people think this is real lmao

Lol I feel like he’ll still be good….

  19. VirtualSwordfish356

I mean, Jagr still has hands and can probably still shoot it.

Who would hit him, at 51? Who wants to be the young gun that makes their name by killing the legend?

    He’d be an untouchable turret.

If you guys don’t want him, we’ll take him in Chicago. Jagr could be Bedard’s grandpa for all we know.

Has r/nhl turned into a r/penguins sub? So many penguins posts

  21. AioliFantastic4105

I really hope it’s not but I can’t help but feel this is either PR for a book release, or a front office strategy or support position of some kind

  22. DenisNectar

I just read yesterday that he was gonna play another season in Kladno. Who speaks the truth.

    >Welcome back! Alright, some news of the day for all you fine people on the internet.
    >
    >First up, *Jaromir Jágr* has signed a three year, $850,000 contract with the Pittsburg Penguins. Now, I like this contract. I like what Dubas did here. It’s a solid depth signing for the Pens. And, Jágr should be a good presence in the locker room for the younger guys on the team like Crosby. That veteran presence in the room during a playoff run can really payoff and I think with some of the other moves Dubas has made this offseason, the Pens should be a contender this year. To top it off, the cap it ain’t bad either. Some say Jagr might be too old, but I guess we’ll see!

No way the NHL would do this simply because this would actually be next level marketing and bring in everyone to watch. Just the idea of this gives Bettman the shivers.

Devils fan here, and never got to see Jagr on the Pens bit saw him many times on the Rangers and then for the Devils. Such a beautiful stick handler with a wicked turnaround shot from the half boards. He was 41 when he joined the Devils for 1.5 seasons at age 41. When traded at the trade deadline in 2015 to the Panthers he was still worth a 2nd + 3rd round pick. Could he play still at 51? I would not put anything past this legend, and coming back to the Pens would be a great endcap to his career.

  26. tisBondJamesBond

Could you all imagine this where Jagr joins and lemieux comes out of retirement for one last game? Our line 1 would be Crosby – Lemieux – Jagr
