Honestly as a penguins fan. I really really want the sabres to win a cup and run the league. They’re so good. Power and Dahlin are the future of hockey defense. They really deserve to be successful.
People are sleeping on Buffalo, they're gonna be dangerous for a long time with that core. Don't forget, they only missed the playoffs by 1 point this year. Everybody is talking about Ottawa as the rising star in the Atlantic when they should be talking about Buffalo.

As a Panthers fan, I really hope I get a Sabers v Panthers 1st round. Some of my favorite regular season games are against Buffalo. Gritty, excitingly close games. Not to mention that the Panthers have 3 ex notable Sabers in Montour, Reinhart, and now Rodrigues.

Uh Sabres don't have a legit #1 goalie! Levo is there future #1, but he's not ready to fit that role yet. Also the Sabres don't play good team defense, so that hurts them a lot as well.
They're becoming one of the most exciting teams to watch in the league. Very deserving of the upswing these guys have been on. I don't hate Eichel, but I don't miss him either. Having a guy like Tuch actually be crunk to play in Buffalo is worth having a guy who hated it there walk and get a Stanley cup. 🤷♂️

While I do think the Sabres make the playoffs this year, it isn't something that's guaranteed considering the top 4 teams (Leafs, Bruins, Lightning, Panthers) have more experience, same goes for the Senators.
They have great offense but terrible defense, 300 GA isn’t exactly the best thing to have

My breakout player was going to be Jack Quinn this year. Unfortunately that's on hold for a bit. His hands are incredibly slick, some of assists last year were magic. I have no doubt he will be a consistent 80 point guy. JJ Peterka is my next choice to double his goal total this year.

It's hard not seeing this team win a Cup!! Said the same thing about Winnipeg after Laine's first season… but turns out attitude problems + Buff retiring messed that up! Barring any issues… Buffalo will be a Big problem… for a long long time! Bedard's been the talk of Hockey town for the last 2 Years… so people's jaws will drop when they realize how good Savoie will be!!
