  1. I haven’t watched the episode yet, but I’m thrilled that the Sharks are finally entering a long rebuild because they’ve needed this for years.

  2. Yes they missed their opportunity to trade for a missing peice. Next move they need to make is to trade for Huberdeau, Seth Jones, and Seguin!!! BOOK IT!!!

  3. If the Leafs are continuing to commit to their Core 4 (4 players get about 70 % of the Leaf payroll) – then how could Leafs consider signing another $10 Million player? At least this Leaf Core 4 has good regular seasons.

  4. Thank goodness we didnt sign Karlsson. Thats all we need is another old player making 10 mill on the cap .plenty of good affordable defenseman out thier and Dubas gave up 1st and 2nd rd picks .dubas lacks patience and its not like his team is going deep and I agree with Anthony the Pens dont make it in the playoffs and if they do thier 1 and done.

  5. Lepore going full Coyote Ugly in the bars in the early 2000s 😅. My era, bro!

  6. BS!!! Erik Karlsson is a soft regular season star just like Marner, Nylander, Matthews , and Tavares! In the playoffs these GARBAGE players are useless! The Leafs should trade both Marner, Nylander! these are parasites!! Soft players that disappear when you need them most!!

  7. Havnt watched the ep but im so happy they did get him his regression is going to be WILD im thinking 48 pts and a – 39

  8. I’m glad they didn’t trade for him! Could you imagine going after a guy who has only one good season in what 5 years? Not to mention that contract?

  9. If he (nylander) not signing you trade him and Brodie and jarnkock , for lindholm, pesce or tanev/zadorov / peeke from Columbus plus Tatar. Thinking of a mix of those players

  10. I would say yes considering the penguins only traded bad contracts a second round pick and first round pick that’s top 10 protected they also got a young prospect back pitlick who is young and has good finishing ability and they also got a third round pick back

  11. Treliving needs to get 2 more younger D 1st and 2nd line pairing with Size , Loads of GREET, and that have GREAT shots on net , from 26 – 28 years of age

  12. Emphatically no.

    1. Cap problems
    2. Age of player (small window contract may be good)
    3. Poor defensive metrics (bottom 1% of defenders)
    4. They need a good defender who can play defence and provide some offensive ability

Now if this was at a mass cap reduction it might make sense by SJ did not want to do that.

  13. Only way Karlsson would of made sense for leafs is if penguins retained 50 percent of his deal and we hadn’t signed klingberg

  14. It was a huge non-move for the Leafs. Trade out Nylander and balance the team finally, to not be so forward heavy. Just watch. The Pens will be a contender again for a season or two. A lot of teams missed out on this player. This was a rare opportunity.

  15. LMAO, No, the Leafs Stanley Cup chances actually improved by not getting a winger that pretends to play defense.

  16. We don’t want Karlsson he’s too 👴🏼👴🏼👴🏼making too much money $11.5 million or $10 million 👎👎👎

  17. When Karlsson left the Sens for Sharks, his numbers took a huge hit. This might be because he was sharing time with burns and adjusting to a new system. When Burns left and after a couple of seasons of being able to adjust to the San Jose system, we see Karlsson having a career season. I think he'll have a good season if he quarterbacks pp1, but it'll be interesting to see if Letang keeps that pp1 spot, if they hand it over to Karlsson, or the penguins run with 2 dmen on that first powerplay. Getting another player that could man the first powerplay is a good idea since Letang is injury prone. My prediction is that Karlsson has a disappointing season and finishes with less than 55 points.
