BRING BACK GAGNER
I'm an Oilers fan, and I love Sam Gagner. One of my favourite Oilers.
Gagner will hopefully always have a home here. If he comes back this year i think he could be a solid 4th liner and a nice mentor for our young guys in bakersfield. There has been some rumors that once he retires he could join management as a player development guy
Gagner was one of their best players in the era when the Oilers were super trash, imagine him on the team now, if he still played like he was young. Would be badass
Ill never forget that 8 point night…
Gagner on PTO seems like the best way to reunite with his former team 1 more time although other teams probably want to give Gagner more money if a contract is up for grabs, My PTO Choice would be Danton Heinen
We need to do it, if only to give Gags a taste of playoff hockey in Edmonton. He's lamented before how he never got to experience that, and he deserves that experience tbh.
I hope they sign Gagner & Sutter
DO IT!! No reason not to.
I think you called it, Gags will have to compete against Sutter for that spot and thats good, let them grind it out and earn it.
Shootout wizard when he was here. Need T. Hall & J Eberle back too
I really want to meet a Brazilian Oilers fan 😂
Ain’t no way Brad Malone is more worthy of that 4th line spot over Gagner.
I was hoping this would be about the Oilers bringing back Nail Yakapov for one game so he could retire as an Oiler. 🙂
(Shut up. I'm just joking)
I remember when we traded for him in 2019, he changed all of his social media profiles/pictures to him in Oilers sweaters within 10 minutes of the announcement. Dude loved playing here and I was sad when we moved him to Detroit. Would love to have him in as a 4th line guy so he can experience an era of oilers hockey that isn't pure depression.
I actually love how much you cover the Oilers even though you are a Flames fan. It is especially nice for me cause I was born in Calgary and started off a Flames fan but moved to the Edmonton area and became an Oilers fan.
As a Jets fan I would love to see Sam back in Edmonton and finish his career there, great guy and still a serviceable 4th liner.
not even an Edmonton fan but ganger would be great back in Edmonton. He’d help bottom 6 a bit and going back to a team where fans obv love him would be nice.
Oilers Luke Schenn
I love Sam Gagner. Hope it works out. Hope he retires a Oiler.
I never seen a flames fan talk about the oilers this positively 😂
Sam Gagner is liked wherever he goes but he never stays there.
I would say Kane to the Oilers would be the best off season move from Kenny. Imagine
Hyman – McD – E.kane
RNH – Drats – P. Kane
I went to an Anaheim game with my friends, and we were one of the few people wearing Oiler jerseys in the crowd. Gagner made a terrible string of plays, and after losing an O-zone faceoff me and my friends started booing and making comments about Gagner. As we were making the comments about Gagners play, an old man tapped one of my friends on the shoulder and told him to never say that again or he would beat his ass ( or something to that effect ). The old mans wife told him to calm down and there was no big deal of the situation, just mostly confused at the massive offence taken by a random old dude in California. Turned out it was Dave Gagner and we were absuletly rinsing his son in enemy territory.
Leafs are bust. Oilers win the Cup.
Love Gagner and him coming to Wpg was a great time I loved him but to hear this I want him to go and be with the oilers
