Ifs and buts are candy and nuts and the Leafs make a trade for anything to mix it up sure would be nice to see.
Did Liljegren disappear? Kampf is the 3rd line shutdown center. You can't expect him to be taking the d-zone faceoffs with Reaves on the wing. He has done a great job as the #3 center and his cap hit is very reasonable.

Yes TJ brodie cap hit is high but he is the Leafs best defensive D man the Leafs D core is already weak defensively do really want to trade Brodie put Klingburg on waivers let some team grab him and then with the free cap space add in another good defensive D man Klingburg was a mistake I think he makes to many mistakes defensively the Leafs need to piss lightning and crap thunder so yes they have the lightning so now go get more thunder

Leafs need more snot defensively. Brodie is our best defence man but he was bad during the playoffs, he looked lost a lot out there. Sure if we trade Brodie our defence takes a hit, but if you get snot guys that block shots and stop the puck carrier and throw big hits it might not change our defence it may even improve. Now the argument could be "Oh they're not better than last year" sure we might not be better in the regular season but doing this sets us up for the playoffs which we care for the most. They simply just need to be assholes, people already hate the Leafs let's give them a reason now.
F the Leafs! They're never winning the Cup! They don't need to cuz the marks fill the seats at a premium anyways.
