To me it feels like he’s one of those guys who’s development got fucked by COVID. 2 goals in 22 games as a 18 year old in the AHL isn’t ideal.

He’s still young though, at 21 years old. His numbers from last year are a bit worrying, but I wouldn’t panic just yet about his development. He’s got a good skillset and the odds are in his favour to have a better year next season

Just based on his work ethic and putting his heart on his sleeve (from what I saw) during the WJC’s with Czechia, I still have hope that he can carve out a spot as a 4C eventually. He’s still young at 21, granted his numbers have not been what you would hope for in the AHL so far.

The infamous tuch mysak picks. At first this pick felt like a joke. Like the author I was impressed by his world junior performance but then he was really underwhelming. It reminded me of some of our prospect great world junior that didn’t translate to the NHL.

Hopefully this is a Tage Thompson type situation (I know they’re not the same size or type of player blah blah blah shut up) where he’s just a late bloomer but eventually puts it all together and lights up the league, or at least becomes a legit 3rd liner for the next 5 years.
