  1. I wouldnt be opposed to them putting #41 up in the rafters but I have a feeling he'll be getting a ring of honor spot instead.. I think the approach for jersey retirement should be: did this person contribute significantly more to this team than Redden or Murray.. Andy is right on the fence for me in that regard.. Redden played more seasons for the team and way more playoff games. In his prime the team valued him above Chara

  2. As long as Pinto doesn't sign they have to train as if he's not part of the team so yeah go ahead and put Greig at 3C.

  3. No they should not. Anderson was hot and cold for the Senators throughout his career…. if he was that good, they never would have let him go.

  4. Anderson was one of the main reasons for Ottawas success, when Karllson and Stone were there.
To tell you the truth I have given up on management of the team.I still like the team but you don't deserve my time anymore, wasting it trying to help the team.

  5. I would say no cause I want only Hall of Fame caliber players to have their number retired, but since Phillips and Neil already have, I guess, why not. Definitely one of the best Sens goalies for sure

  6. Retiring #s is pretty stupid imo.
Aside from a very few such as Howe, Gretzky, Lemieux, Jagr, Ovechkin, Crosby, Mcdavid; it should never be done.
Teams should not be making this decision, the league should when they reach the hhof

  7. If you look at the retired jerseys, one commonality they have is that they were basically career Senators. Andy wasn’t. That would be my argument against. Ring of Honour Defjnitely but having said that I wouldn’t be upset if they retired his number either.

  8. If the Senators don't retire Craig his number, the Sabres will do it. He was remarkable in his last years at Buffalo.

  9. I think October 24 is the day they are testing 16 games on the schedule with staggered starts

  10. And thanks for your efforts in trying to get that block of tickets- ignore the naysayers

  11. Sorry to put a damper on a potential retirement on the 24th, but it’s a 16 game night, so they’re staggering start times, as there’s a lot of games starting at :15s and :45s. Would be happy to be proven wrong though.

  12. Anderson was the only long-term goalie in the first 30 years. His start as a Sen was great, even if he had on/off years was slowly evident. His on years were among the leagues best and helped to carry them to thrilling years. No cups, not an NHL hall of famer😢 but whether his jersey is retired or is in the ring of honour, he deserves to be celebrated soon. Unless, he would like to sign with the Sens as a 6th goalie and as an onice player/coach

  13. I loved seeing Forsy on the ice already!! I say no to retiring 41 even though Andy is my fav Sens goalie ever. Ring Of Honour is where he belongs.

  14. Seems like the Sens like the retirements to be Sens for basically their whole career minus Alfies 2 seasons in Detroit and who wears #41 anyways get Andy up in the rafters ASAP

  15. I love Craig Anderson but it would be a joke to retire his number, its not even close. There won't be any Sens worthy of a number retirement for 15 years. Anderson no brainer for the Ring of Honor though.

  16. Melnyk ruined everything with Craig, by not giving him another contract. Ring of Honour for sure. You can't retire every number, but if you do Neil / Phillips, well……where do you draw the line? And yeah, only Alfie should have had his number retired. Great show!

  17. Ever since I saw Kleven play, I don't see how he shouldn't be our 6th D-man this year if he has a good camp. Heck, pair him with Sanderson. EK65 went to the Pens to continue the Matt Cooke forensic investigation from the inside. They've almost got all the evidence 😉

  18. I don't like retiring numbers, I think you can get that "honour" treatment if you played a certain number of games for club and you are well liked by teammates and fans.

  19. Buffalo, Colorado and Ottawa all should. It’s got to be on a night when those teams are in town.

  20. Because Pinto hasn't achieved maximum number of games needed, he's gonna have to work for it at minimum, $775K, Otts is in Full Control, Pinto's only 22.

  21. Giroux Stutzle Tarasenko , Brady Norris Batherson Sokolov Pinto Kubalik ,Kelly Kastelic MacEwen
3 lefties on the top line is not gonna work long term IMO and that Norris line is proven to be fire

  22. I would be opposed to Andy getting his number retired until they went and retired Chris Phillips and Chris Neil… Now it would be an insult not to. Alfie should have been the only number retired
