the Leaf's don't have anyone on their roster who will "go thru the wall" come playoff time, John Scott is right, Matthews/Marner are perimeter players, and come playoff time you need players to bust their ass…I don't see anyone on this team that does that. its frustrating as a Leaf Fan, im an old guy (52) and when the '93 Leaf's went to the final four, you had EVERYONE on that team pulling the rope, and when your best player (Gilmour) leaves everything on the ice every dam shift, the rest of the team follows…todays Leaf's, there is nobody that comes close to that heart or determination.
What a great show! John Scott was excellent guest, and had some great one liners, Kessel… "he's an animal!" Lot of good analysis put out in plain english. The core sucks, so start the dismemberment. Start with Marner. Plenty of teams will have interest, he'll bring back a decent return. Marner should've been gone 2 years ago after the Montreal series. Leaf fans are nervous that the team will go back to being sht and nowhere near playoffs if any of these guys get moved. I get it, but won't go anywhere with #34 and #16 at the helm (Titanic), so get what you can now, start the reno…the roof is leaking…

Kyle Dubas did nothing in toronto. He brought Tavares in for 2mil more then he was worth. He signed marner for 2 mil more than he was worth. He drafted nobody of substance. He hired a dud coach with a checkered past. Please stay in the east and build another crap team to compete against for years to come

Finally someone calling it like it is for Mitch and Auston not being able to elevate their games in the playoffs – it was obvious 2 years ago when they lost to Habs after being up 3-1. They shriveled up in that series – absolutely cannot handle pressure.

The contracts expire in 12 months and they cant afford to give them all raises. They cant compete as is. Whether they like it or not, changes are coming. If they let either Matthews or Nylander walk to free agency its a massive failure by this organization.
