I thought Scott Darling was attending. I don’t see him at all

    Ziggy Palffy; that’s a name I hadn’t thought about in a while.

42 points in 42 games, says “you know what, I’m done”

It was a really great experience and I loved every second of it. Also, I can see myself on the last photo in the crowd lol

Who do I see there? ….could it be…..SATAN!

  5. Hattrick_Swayze2

Does anyone know where I can watch this?

These are some of the best photos of a hockey game I’ve seen in a long time. Reminds me of really old school SI photos in the 1960’s.

    ;_;

Im getting old. My favorite player I grew up watching is retired….

So cool that they did this for him though. I don’t remember seeing games like this done for players in the past, though Im sure theyve happened.

Hoss seems to have aged quite a bit. I wonder if he’s still battling that disease.

This should have been more widely broadcasted. I would have been glued to it.

Anyone else think Nick Lidstrom could still play or is it just me?

I was hoping to find an action shot of Big Buff. I miss watching that guy play.

So I knew this was happening and have seen the buildup and roster announcements and stuff but now that it’s happened it’s left me wondering if there’s ever been such a celebration or turnout for a player’s retirement before? Like is he that well respected of a player or that important of a figure in Slovakia?

I am so curious about the invite/sell to this game. Obviously friendships are a huge part of it, and I assume money, collectively, isn’t preventing any of these guys from playing anywhere in the world.

But I remain a bit surprised at the full cast and roster of people that got involved, and who gave up a big chunk of time to fly across the pond and play.

The roster also seemed to lean into star power more than like « random buddy I played with in junior ».

Was there promise of this being some fantastic trip – like everybody is doing a family or boys week in Slovakia? Was everybody paid handsomely enough to make it worth their time? Both of the above in conjunction with existing loyalties and friendships?

How many people did Big Buff hospitalize?

This looks like it was created by AI when you asked it to do the Blackhawks in 2047

Seeing Palffy at 51 lacing up skates is a sight to see. I miss this man

  18. NotOnoze

So cool. More players should do this

  19. binchbunches

Did Big Buff lower the boom on anyone?

  20. Chemicalhealthfare

I thought Zetterberg was supposed to be there

  21. smiledumb

I know it’s silly, but I’d love to see the box score and know if Bondra potted a couple

Was a Great Show … did really enjoy it!
Proud that all the stars went to Slovakia for this exiting event!!!

  23. CrackerGuy

Of course Tomas Holmstrom is parked in front of the net

I remember a game from around 2003 and this 10 year old girl had a poster saying “ Go away satan!!” With a cross afterwards. Miro satan skated by and laughed.
