This sounds like more like your personal wish then reality.
The oilers have barely any cap space and last I checked the last thing they need is forwards , they need an actual goalie and some defense , nurse is garbage and ekholm can't do it himself.
Bad move for the Oilers, Toews was done 5 years ago and Kane is past his prime too

Both could sign at the league minimum… Towes because he's 35 and Kane will be on November 19th. They could have a bonus that would count against next year's cap. The oilers could trade foegele for a pick or a prospect. And even trade a pick and James Neal's salary to say Arizona to free up cap space
Then the pressure would be on McDavid to win another cup without them after they both retire, because the first cup would have the caveat of needing two centerpin players from a previous winning team to win even one cup.

I have always liked Kane and considered him elite because he could carry average players and make them look better.However kane was awful last year and makes me wonder if he is washed up.Bottom line is htat people will only look at points he might get 60 points but if he is a minus 20 he is not helping your team.He did bounce back on the NYR with a plus 1 in limited action but he had back to back poor years so imo he is more of a follower than a leader.

Its a dream wirh both of them. Towes is retired, with out actually coming to his senses yet.. he still believes which its noble and all. Kane is still serviceable but Edmonton and kane would have to make it work. As oil fan i would love to see keith, kane and towes in oilers silks but that is pipe dream. Blessed enough to have Kieth so far.
if kane and toews wanna play for 1 mil a year they have a huge chance at winning a cup.

Kaner is a possibility but Toews is done. He was done a few years ago. Been following the Hawks since 1961.

Nah. Toews is done. Kane might stick around a few more years, but Toews is done. Dream of a Toews-Kane reunion all you want, but it ain't happening.
