Patrick Johnston s’arrête pour discuter du passé, du présent et de l’avenir d’OE-L, ainsi que des espoirs des Canucks et de la façon dont il voit les paires défensives trembler lors de la soirée d’ouverture. First comment… what's my prize?! 😂
Funny you brought up Makar and Brooks, but not Soucy with the Spruce Grove Saints. Another player that’s a product of the AJHL.
messier.
‘June 2015 – One of the draft’s potential quiet star defensemen, Noah Juulsen is a highly intelligent, low-maintenance and efficient defender capable of playing a strong two-way game. First and foremost, Juulsen is an extremely mobile blue liner who executes precise outlet passes and shows a good ability to keep plays alive at the offensive line. Despite not being an ideal sized defender, Juulsen chips in on the physical end and makes some dazzling open ice hits. He’s very poised in possession and his calming demeanour radiates throughout the lineup. Overall, Juulsen’s competitive and hard-working approach will make him a potential opening round selection. Brendan Ross’
Messier was terrible. Mats Sundin did nothing.
Soucy is not a top 4 dman. Forcing him up the lineup doesn’t make him a better player
I'm torn between Messier and OEL. While Messier overtly didn't really try or take charge, I think OEL was guilty of the same sin except he tried to hide it. OEL wanted to come to Vancouver but he knew it was a bad team and figured he'd have some country club pacific coast fun to sail towards the end of his career as well.
Right now we have 2 top 4 dman and a bunch of 5 to 6 filling in roles
I'd say Ferland.
D Petey has a #2 ceiling. Watched some Orebro games with Lekkerimaki. EP is a standout on that team. He'll push for a spot in a couple years.
Messier was by far the worst pick up because he was literal cancer ( a word I don't think am over using here since he and his pet coach tore this franchise to pieces from the inside out ). People might forget he was paid 10 million a year and it's not discussed because it was before the salary cap so it didn't affect the franchise day to day operations other than pissing in our collective faces.
Erickson Myers oel was the worsed messier at least have leadership for 3 years I'm ok with it ,Hughes woo
Soucy Hronek
Hirose Cole
The journalist trades off points for all the negativities he listed that destroyed a very good team. 🤦♂ Messier was Keenan's gestapo . Messier stole the captaincy from a legend Canuck and took a deceased number 11 out of retirement ffs.
