  1. I've never seen so many elbows, high sticks and grabbing as the '93 Kings. McSorley was the worst of them. I guess desperate times call for desperate measures. Gretzky was just as bad. Got away with all kinds of shit (e.g. punching a guy right in front of the ref's eyes).

  2. Painful memories as a Kings fan. Cried my eyes out after Game 5 thinking we will never get another chance at the Cup. It took 19 years but the Kings got the last laugh by winning 2 Cups in 3 years and placing a curse on the Canadiens. No Canadian NHL team including Montreal has won the Cup since those '93 Finals. In fact, 'Le Habitants' have not returned to the Stanley Cup finals since 1993. BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!

  3. This was the first time I saw that OT goal from the French broadcast. I grew up such a huge Montreal fan that I would listen to their games on AM radio in French, even though I didn't speak French lol. I took it in school and understood the basics but over the years I learned 'hockey French' and that enabled me to understand 80-90% of what was being said during the play by play. Although this was a good call and he did immediately mention the overtime streak, it's tough to beat Bob Cole's famous call of that same goal when he exclaimed almost incredulously "…and the Canadiens win in overtime AGAIN!!!" Great times and wonderful memories 🙂
