    Ross has a hard-on for Sanderson. He is excellent defensively but could improve offensively,

    Sanderson is 20 years old and didn't play on the power play for most of the season. I think he will be fine offensively. Owen Power had 34 pts as a rookie in 79 gp and he was immediately slotted on the powerplay. Jake Sanderson had 32 pts in 77 games and finished the season on the power play because Chychrun and Chabot were hurt. Let's see if he'll get a sophomore slump but I think that he's already the best defenceman on the Ottawa Squad. It's between him and Chychrun but I can't count on Chychrun to stay healthy *Shrugs*. Chabot is probably one of the most overrated D-men in the league. He doesn't play near his contract value of 8M, BUT he also won't start the year with Zaitsev as his partner and that might be a big reason why I think he can have his best season ever.

    I'm not a Leafs fan so I don't know how good Reilly really is. He seems to be somewhat overrated kind of like Chabot is for the Sens. So I'll go with it:

    1. Rielly (But I don'T know how good he really is )
    2. Chychrun
    3. Sanderson
    4. Chabot
    5. Brodie
    6. Zub

    I might be biased toward the Sens but I really try to have an objective view. I did put Rielly #1 but I haven't seen him play much and when I watch the Leafs, he does play like Chabot.

    But on paper, Toronto's strength isn't defense. It's offense! Ottawa finally has a good D-core for the first time in like… 15 years and we don't know if they'll be able to stay healthy (Chychrun and Chabot always get hurt)

    So comparing both D squads is kind of one-sided.

    The only reason this is debatable is because leaf fans have no idea how good Sanderson is. The leafs d core is aging quickly and if chabot bounces back, chychrun stays healthy, sens d core is better.
