On the “who will play top-line minutes with Cole and Nick” question, I’m really not opposed to giving RHP a shot if he impresses at camp. He’s not the most talented option but I think he’s way better suited for them than Anderson, who seems to be the go-to. RHP gives me strong Hyman energy and I can really see him carve out a role forechecking and fighting in the corners to retrieve pucks for the other two.
I hope Slaf gets to play on the second line with Dach, or at least with Monahan if the latter is centering the third line. He needs more minutes imo. Slaf-Dach with any mix of Anderson, Newhook, RHP, or Monahan could be a fun line.

At even strength, there’s no reason not to split up Suzuki and Caufield. Their even strength numbers together weren’t great overall and bad defensively. Absolutely put them together on the power play, but MSL should be looking to create even strength lines that aren’t getting caved in.
Which may not actually be possible from this roster, which is still young and under-talented in comparison to the rest of our division.

For trade value purposes I’d like to see if it clicks with Monahan on the first line for an extended period of time, if he can stick up there and rack up points he’ll be the number one target on TDL trade bait lists. If he’s at healthy at he says, we need to see what he’s got.
For his development I’d like to see Xhekaj in Laval, see if he’s able to play bigger minutes and maybe even see if he can have a better output offensively if given the leash for it. I like him and he’s good but I’d like to see if he can be great. If he’s not sent down I guess Wideman gets traded?

my lineup would be :
Caufield- Suzuki- RHP
Newhook – Dach – Anderson
Slaf- Monahan – Gally
Pezz – Dvorak/Evans – Armia
Not sure where to put Heineman/Ylonen in there, hopefully for them they will force HuGo to make some place in the Lineup for them (3rd or 4th line) .

I think the writer underestimate Joshua in this.
