Evan looking like 14 yr old Eagle Scout in his dads hat. 🤣 cracking up. Good pod guys 👍
I’m surprised Don has all but shutout the young guys again. The kids must be pissed at all the off-season moves.
Beecher has to be a very good 3C. Or it’s a bust as a first rounder
True Detective season 1 is my favorite series ever. Banger.
It won't happen anytime soon. It doesn't help that Sweeney ignores the fact that, only a few hours north of Boston, is the world's second largest country, one that really loves hockey, and produces a lot of great players.
Sign a bunch of the unsigned former picks and college kids
True detective season one is amazing
How does Boston improve their crap farm system? Um, fire Don Sweeney, Cam Neely and also hire some individuals that have had some semblance of success in terms of drafting and developing young talent, that's how
How else can they improve it?
Bite the bullet and trade a 34 year old Brad Marchand that is at the end of his career and is working on two surgically repaired hips. Or move guys like Debrusk, Carlo, and or one of Swayman/Ullmark if things don't go well during this regular season but that's about it because after those players (they aren't trading Pastrnak, McAvoy or Lindholm)) they don't have any roster players that would fetch 1st or 2nd round picks that they'd be willing to move.
And stop with this, they've traded all of these draft picks to so called, "win"
One, there's been no winning in the playoffs under Don Sweeney, just choking as they've failed to win more than 1 playoff round 7 of the past 8 years
They traded their 2018 1st round pick in the Rick Nash concussion disaster but when you trade for players with well documented concussions issues don't be surprised when they only play 11 regular season games before retiring from concussions
Homers also forget the price to get NYR to take on the rest of Matt Belesky's crap deal was Ryan Lindgren. A Bruins 2015 2nd round pick who turned out to be a Top 4 D-man in the NHL. So Lindgren was pissed/given away for nothing but to fix another one of Don Sweeney's bad UFA contracts
The Bruins 2020 1st round pick and their highest draft pick from 2018, 2nd rounder Axl Andersson, were also pissed away in the 100% nothing but a Cap Dump, David Backes trade to Anaheim
That's not trading away high draft picks and prospects to "win" Bruins Homers. That's Don Sweeney trying to fix more of his UFA mistakes, AGAIN!!!
The Bruins 2025 2nd round draft pick was pissed away in getting Anaheim to take on the rest of John Moore's crap contract.
Was that pick moved to "win"? Um nope, it was to free up Cap Space and to fix yet another one of Don Sweeney's crap UFA contracts
Why did Hampus Lindholm have to be traded for with Vaak, another 1st rounder and another 2nd rounder pbeing moved in that same deal?
Because Zboril (1st round pick taken at 13th overall) and Vaak (1st round pick taken at 18th overall) both busted
Thank god Anaheim didn't realize at the time that Vaak was a bust but they do now as he can't even crack their NHL lineup 6 years after being drafted in the 1st round and the Ducks have one of the worst rosters in the NHL btw..
Also, Sweeney could trade good players like Taylor Hall away for draft capital or higher end prospects but as he put the Bruins in Cap Prison, he self admittedly moved Taylor Hall to Chicago for nothing but some relief from the Cap Prison he built himself
Boston’s Farm System has also stunk every year under Don Sweeney, so this isn't like it's a "new" thing Bruins Homers and Sweeney Apologists
The Bruins lousy Farm System been universally ranked 26th to 32nd and dead last in the NHL for all 8 years of Don Sweeney’s tenure as GM
Name the NHL team with the fewest games played by draft picks since 2017?
The Boston Bruins
The NHL games played leader at forward still with the team drafted 2017 or after?
Lauko, 23 lousy NHL games
The NHL games played leader still with the team drafted 2017 or after on defense?
NONE. Not a single D-man still with the team drafted by Boston 2017 or after has played a shift in the NHL to date
And Bruins Homers, 2017 was 6 FRIGGIN YEARS AGO!!!
Before any of you Bruins homers also say Don Sweeney and the Bruins haven’t had high enough or just enough draft capital at all, that’s nothing but a bold face lie that’s constantly told by Bruins Homer Nation
From 2015-2017 Don Sweeney had SIX, 1st round draft picks and FIVE, 2nd round draft picks
That’s right!!!!
SIX, 1st round picks in just 3 years!!!
And FIVE, 2nd round draft picks in that same 3 year time frame
Most of those picks were taken towards the top half of the 1st and 2nd rounds, not at the bottom of those rounds (another lie Bruins Homer Nation likes to tell)
The 1st round picks were primarily in the top 15 of the draft 13, 14 (twice) 15, 18 and 29th
The 1st round picks?
Senyshen (bust), Zboril (bust). Vaakanainen (bust in Boston, bust in Anaheim), Frederic (marginal player at best), Debrusk and McAvoy
So of the SIX, 1st round picks between 2015-2017, the results, 3 busts, a marginal Frederic plus Debrusk and McAvoy
Pissing away THREE, 1st round picks on busts taken at 13, 15 and 18 in the 1st round is nothing short of beyond terrible Bruins homers
The 2nd round picks?
JFK (bust), Lauzon (given away for nothing), Studnika (bust), Lindgren (given away in the Rick Nash concussion trade disaster), Carlo
So two complete busts in JFK and Studnika, Lauzon, a player Sweeney just pissed away for nothing in return (who is nothing more than a bottom of the roster d-man anyway), Lindgren, another player just pissed away in the Rick Nash concussion disaster) and Carlo
So of the FIVE, 2nd round picks Sweeney took from 2015-2017 the only one that has given the Bruins anything of value, Brandon Carlo. Again, those are TERRIBLE results Bruins Homers and Don Sweeney Apologists
The above is 100% why the Bruins Farm System has been and continues to be in the toilet
However, the drafting and developing all 8 years under Don Sweeney has stunk across the board
Sweeney has made 54 draft picks in 8 years as GM and only 5 players that he’s drafted have made an impact of any real level in Boston
ONLY 5 of 54 Bruins Homers!!!
Swayman, Carlo, Debrusk, McAvoy and a very marginal Trent Frederic. That's it in 8 years of drafting and selecting 54 players
Sorry Bruins Homers, hitting on 5 of your 54 draft picks in 8 years as GM is called nothing short of TERRIBLE and it’s 100% the reason why the Farm System stinks and it’s 100% why they have no 1C, no Top 6 LW and no Top 4 RHD in their largely putrid Farm System
The Bruins don't have even a marginally good Farm System because…
Don Sweeney has drafted & developed poorly (see only hitting on 5 of his 54 draft picks in 8 years as GM), their player development has been nothing but crap and Sweeney has given away far too many draft picks and prospects trying to fix his crap UFA contracts and or to get relief from the Cap Prison he's responsible for building in the first place
All teams, especially the better ones, trade draft picks to try and win in the playoffs
No other NHL team has had their GM only hit on 5 of their 54 draft picks in 8 years of drafting Bruins Homers and Don Sweeney Apologists
Was it worth it? Um, nope because again they have been nothing but playoff chokers under Don Sweeney with again, failing to win more than 1 playoff round 7 of the past 8 years
Now no 1C anywhere to be found
NHL's worst farm system
NHL's worst draft capital
Cap Prison
But sure, keep defending Don Sweeney Bruins Homers. How you can do that when there''s been no winning in the playoffs under him and he's torched every asset at their disposal to improve, I'll never know…..
Pronman has always underestimated Lohrei…he was wrong when we drafted him and wont own up to his mistake
Are these the same people that said Bruins would finish bottom-of-the-barrel last season?
Why?
Why are we still listening to them? They're gambling addicts
That's why I don't sub to channels that are sponsored by gambling websites- they're screwing up hockey.
Any hockey fan knows that gambling stats don't matter, nor do they belong in hockey.
This isn't the Kentucky derby-it's hockey
