   It’s an interesting decision given he could miss up to a month of his regular season over in Sweden (depending on how long he sticks at camp). Will certainly make training camp worth watching even more.

   He is 18 years old, no not quite ready for the NHL but will give the team a serious look. This is a year he’ll hopefully develop with the Swedish team he’ll play with and will be ready, next year or the year after, to seriously contend for a spot with the Jets.

   Is this the last year of Nate Schmidt’s contract? It would be great if his position could be filled internally once his contract expires.
