I’m a graphic and sports designer creating a series of new / revised jersey sets for each NHL team.
The Home and Away jerseys have been tweaked slightly to be slightly more bold. The Home jersey is a refresh of a concept I created when the team’s uniforms were first announced. It features a subtle deep sea gradient, wave / tentacle patterning on the sleeves, and a fishhook captain’s patch.
The 1st Alternate features the anchor logo on the chest, and showcases the bright icy blue as the primary color.
The 2nd Alternate is a modern throwback to the Seattle Metropolitans, the first United States team to win the Stanley Cup. The crest is a slightly modernized version of the Metro’s logo with a varsity letter felt texture. Also, on the chest, the captain’s C sits within an emerald cut patch representing the « Emerald City » of Seattle. The icy blue stripes feature a wave stitch pattern. And the collar is a classic sweater knit style.
