Can’t watch Vegas at home. Their jerseys make me want to throw up
If you don’t know veteran Bruin sportscasters, you don’t know jack.

I hate Vegas’ announcers. I don’t know why, but they irritate me so much. They actually annoy me more then the douchebags in Boston somehow.
Sharks games always seem very dark to me. Philly on the other hand has great lighting, at least it appears that way on TV.
This cracks me up. People acting like they don’t have a choice but to listen to him.
Vegas is a lot harder to watch since the uniform switch. I thought the gray jerseys were among the best in the league and the gold ones are less than stellar. They made sense as a third but as the primary home I can’t stand them
Not a fan of Josh Bozo rod. But we have Razor so I listen just for his funny quips.
I love Jack for two reasons. One because I’m a Bruins fan so the overly biased stuff doesn’t grate me. And two because he reminds me of the old 80’s era wrestling announcers. Totally bombastic, over the top but it’s all an act. Totally get the hate, I just find it entertaining personally.

Avs are my west coast team but there play-by-play dude is obnoxious, he comes off like a guy who would hog gym equipment and never wipe it down when he’s done. reminds me of Joe from Family Guy.
He’s arguably just as big a homer as Jack as well. At least Jack doesn’t do a depressive mumble whenever the opposing team scores.
Lapanta for the Wild is one of the biggest homers in the biz. Just plain awful!

Caught a couple of Washington games and their announcer is fire.
Seems like you either love Jack or hate him. Definitely no middle ground with him. I do recall reading a interview with him in the Boston Globe years back and he said something along the lines of « I am calling Bruins games on nesn. You’re watching Boston Bruins hockey on nesn not the NHL on ESPN » something along those lines. Which to me made sense. I love Jack and I just take it all with a grain of salt. I enjoy his tangents and rants, I often find myself saying or thinking out loud « What in the actual fuck did he just say » or « No wait did he really say that? ». I can definitely understand all the hate though. Not sure how much truth there is to this but according to the guys on the spittin chicklets podcast he is a huge pothead.
Jack Edwards has a voice for TV but definitely a face more suited for radio. Yikes
I will say I heard him interviewed on a podcast and he came across as intelligent and likeable. In other words, the exact opposite of what I expected
Cos I’m in UK sometimes the only feed I can for Sabres/Bruins games is NESN. and I just won’t watch the game. He was fucking insufferable before… now he’s insufferable *and* sounds drunk as shit. Can’t do it.

Marc Moser is great, honestly one of my favorites. His classic “OH MY GOODNESS GRACIOUS” kills me.
But Mark Rycroft (aka Ryker) drives me insane. His over the top bias, insistence on guessing the speed of shots (he always over estimates by ~10mph) and voice drive me nuts.

Honestly, the obsession with Jack Edwards on this sub is pretty pathetic. Who cares if another team’s play by play guy is over the top?
Oilers regional coverage with Jack Michaels is some of the best in the league. But Sportsnet in all their wisdom put Hanaryan Singh on for National games and they are unwatchable.
