Same team as last year, while division rivals have substantially improved but FLA have some of their stars returning from injury.

Hi Coach, sorry that I missed this show. In my opinion, Farrell and Hutson are Tier One, super elite vision, processing and playmaking. Both players are small body size today yet both have succeeded, and even dominated, at each level. We also are fortunate enough to have two elite prospect D-men that could be Tier One with their vision, processing and playmaking. Engstrom and Reinbacher. Cheers
The starting seven D-men will probably come from this grouping of 9 players. . David Savard 735 games, Mike Matheson 465, Chris Wideman 291, Gustav Lindstrom 128, Jonathan Kovacevic 77 games, Jordan Harris 75, Arber Xhekaj 51, Justin Barron 46, Kaiden Guhle 44 games. . . In addition Nicolas Beaudin, Brady Keeper, Logan Mailloux, Jayden Struble, William Trudeau, will be be trying to be noticed along with Hutson and Reinbacher.. Management may chose the seven d-men based on showcasing for trades..

Sid Crosby came in as a rookie on a very bad Pitts team and doubled the next closest scorer as a ROOKIE.He set the NHL: record of 102 pts but he could have easily just got 60 and everyone would be making excuses for him.
The real reason players often are slow to get going is that they are not slow at all they are just not gifted first line status with the other top established players AND powerplay time to rack up the numbers.
Even that Seattle Beniers came in as a 19 yr old rookie late season and potted 9 pts in 10 games and he is not considered an elite player.
NHL Stats The Canadiens were GF with 227 and GA with 305; that is a minus-78 differential with massive injuries. Can we score 270 GF, an increase of 43 goals, and decrease their GA by 15 to 290. If you think 43 goals would be a lot, remember Caufield himself was on pace for 48, which was 22 more than the 26 he finished the season with. Now, we add in HP sauce, Newhook, healthy Monahan, stronger Dach and sharpshooter Ylonen. Voila..
Let us check on those Rookie D-men, question is, 'Have they and will they improve'? . a resounding yes, yes for me. Why do I feel that way. They have the character, desire and talent to make an impact. For example, the Canadiens could raise their GF to 3.3 and the GA down to 3.3. . Possible? .
