Maybe not. Matthews just re-signed 4x$53 mil. $13.5 aav. How are leafs gonna fit willie n. under their cap now?

  2. No way Nylander stays in Toronto. May be asking for 10.5 to 11 million AAV given Matthews new deal.

  3. Toronto would never trade Nylander to the NYI! For one, we have nothing teams would want in return, second, we don't have the cap space. Let's not forget we're rivals! If Toronto trades Nylander, it'll be out west

  4. Funny Debrincat never coming here, Toronto wouldn't send him here without a kings ransom!

  5. Didn't we hear something like that before?! Maybe Nylander is just saying that so the population of Toronto doesn't burn his house down!

  6. Horvat realizing that Being a pro Hockey player on Long Island just doesn't have the weight it does in Canadia! Some LI'ers don't give a shit as long as hoa is Happy and your staying off peoples lawns! 😂

  7. Towes was traded with the thought in mind of getting Ladd of the books! Not protecting Ebs instead of Bairley was not smart. We became cap compliant when we traded those picks from Devon to AZ with the Ladd contract! JT walked then we gave Lee 7+mill out of fear! No matter how you slice it or try selling it, Lou fudged up big time!

  8. This channel has become a headache. How the heck do you talk about this stuff daily. Thankfully the season isn’t far away.

  9. As far as I could tell at the time, this 'rumor' wasn't from an NHL insider. It was all based on some sports writers wonderings about how a Nylander trade to the NYI could work. Other sport media read the article and started writing about a 'rumor'. This whole thing was cooked up by the sports media and based on NOTHING.
I don't think Nylander would even consider extending with any team run by Yoda. After Lou left, Nylander was part of the drive to loosen the dress code, and he changed his number to #88, something Yoda wouldn't allow. Then he grew a beard.

  10. Hi Gil, hope you’re feeling better and stronger every day! Nah—if and only if—-he’s a free agent would I try. Isles need to give free agents a deadline. Take it or leave it, instead of being used and dragged as a bargaining chip all summer—all to get more money! Next summer—me? Here is our deadline or we have to move on—-sorry man. Bo? HOA is a pure pain but effective. Why should we be surprised? The Island allowed our team to leave Uniondale—-Bo getting sued is nothing. Take care Gil! LGI

  11. just watched the video, 20 hours later. but i had to stop at the point where you said 60 points for Horvat isint expectable. OFC we want more points out of him and the team. But being the the islanders dont score.. I see it as a win. dont get me wrong, its not alot of points at all.. but we have a low scoring team, low assists and everything that has to do with points its not as bad. AGAIN ofc we want more.
For example, Barzal dosent get many points because of our scoring issue.. i find hime to be a top Center/Winger on another team 110% and others dont see him like that.
I have come to teams with the team not getting many points and thats sad.. but with this team im settling with this outcome

  12. I wish they would get rid of this guy. He's soft and its all about him not the team. Let someone else desl with the primadonna and get a solid player in return.

  13. I’m surprised Noah Dobson wasn’t mentioned.
I saw him play many games for Bathurst in the QMJHL.
Dobson and a draft pick for Nylander could work.
The Leafs have been looking for a right shot D.
If Nylander doesn’t sign it would be good for both teams.

  14. Come on bro I like your show but why even entertain a click bait fantasy like this dude this is just absurd brother come on. I understand it's August but this is a little much.
