I suggested the same. And why not? That top line didn’t miss a beat when Casey was centering it, in terms of production, and it clearly brought the most out of him as a player. I think Tage is good enough now where he produce no matter where he is or what teammates he’s with. I’d love to see it to start off, if ot doesn’t work, you can always go back.

With Quinn out, this may be the move. Putting someone like Thompson on a second line is a nightmare for defensive matchups. On top of that, Cozens and Peterka should be just as good in transition as Tuch and Skinner, and Cozens will be able to cover Thompson’s defensive weakness well.
Peterka and Cozens are both high-end playmakers with a shot threat, and those three together could arguably be one of the most dangerous second lines in hockey.
Mittsy has shown that he needs to be with top-end talent for his playstyle to work, so putting him back on the third would be unfortunate. This lineup would put one of our top faceoff guys on the first line and gives him the same opportunity Tage got two years ago.
It also frees up Krebs to move to third line center, where I think he could develop some chemistry with Olofsson and help bring some more defense to that line. So yeah, I’m a huge fan of this setup.
