I want to like willy i really do but trying to hold the leafs ransom for every dollar he can get i dont know rubs me the wrong way. And ill be saying the same if Mitch pulls this stuff in a year from now. Sometimes you just have to let a guy go and make his money else where.

My apologies, Leafs dudes, but I do not like the Leafs. I did in 72 and 73 when I decided to follow Bernie Parent and his Philadelphia Flyers. Later on I became an Islanders fan through their dynasty and then, living in the Detroit area, followed Stevie Y and the Wings. Years later I followed Stevie to become a Bolts fan. So in my lifetime, my teams have won about 12 championships. Toronto 0. As Stan Less used to say: "Nuff said. Anybody But Toronto. Koolaid-free.
What a joke of a team TML are they trade a very good defense that will be top four guaranteed for a horrible waste of a pick in Easton Cowan. Trade Nylander to WSH so they can be besties again!
Willy probably asked his former babysitter Backstrom to make sure that Rasmus had a good landing in Washington.
NHL hockey is a business. Trades are a part of the business. The fortunate some, makes unfortunate situations for others. When the top players demand high salaries, the middle players are the ones who suffer most. You have the top paid players paid top salaries and the rest of the team is made up with entry level deals and one year contracts. As a new subscriber, this channel leans a little to much on feelings, and therefore I'm unsubscribing.
I wouldn't mind being in the situation at work where the company I work for don't want me, but they find me a job. This is professional sports.

Nylander will get a well deserved big payday somewhere, be the main offensive guy on that team and put up career high numbers after he gets traded
