John Tortorella was always a very good motivator.
Torts is a disease. At first you don't realize it and things seem to be going well. Hell you even might feel great for a few days, weeks, months, or years. But one day you will wake up and realized Torts' nonsense has rotted you to the core. Almost every place he has coached has ended badly. I can't wait for the day when the NHL wakes up and finally stops hiring all these old school coaches that think hostility is the only way to motivate players.
please do Miracle on ice
This is the biggest upset in NHL history ignore the bruins one in 2023 The lightning didn't win a single game in the playoffs equivalent to missing it all together
as a tampa fan pls forget about this boston is way worse you should not be talking about us right?
credit to tampa for totally flipping the script the years that followed.
That Lightning team may have been better than the ones that won the Cup in 2020 and 2021.
I fucking love John Tortorella lol
This video was genuinely so good🙏 It's making me miss the NHL
Id play for Tortz ANY day because I want a coach that gives a fuck and holds everyone accountable
Similar embarrassing upset happened with Panthers v bruins, but everyone knows it 😮
That’s bread man for ya
Hate Torts or love him, he’s a great coach.
Love how Bob is in net for the two biggest upsets in the last decade
Cant wait to come back to this channel is 10-20 years and rewatch the moments from my prime 10/10
That Tampa-Columbus series was epic. Not only was that an unbelievable upset to a Tampa team that was having an amazing regular season but it also like a fire under Tampa Bay that propelled them to win the Stanley Cup 2 years in a row and reach the Stanley Cup Finals 3 years in a row. It basically was the defining moment in the NHL for the last 3-4 years.
Good video
I feel like hockey is the only sport where this kind of thing can happen. I don't think you will ever see anything close to this in other sports, and we just had a similar upset this past year. This is why playoff hockey is the peak of all sport.
Just watched the intro. I love that you are using the same music as Veritasium when you explain things dude! Keep up the great work 🙂
I’m new to the nhl. Been watching for 2 yrs now. What year was this that the jackets swept the lightning?
This collapse created a monster
Forgot the part where they lost to Boston the next round. Congrats Columbus on your first round Cup, just like the Maple Laughs.
this commentary and video style reminds me or Secret Base’s rewind videos!
Damn you make some unreal videos
2nd biggest upset after Florida knocked out Boston this past spring.
this series won me a huge bet.
I can't wait to see your video on Flyers v Bruins of whatever year that was.
Best hockey vids on YouTube
President’s trophy curse still continues
I like the cues you took from the "Dorktown" series well done 🤌
Unpopular opinion, Hedman is a bit overrated
The wall. Tampa hit the wall. The same wall that boston, toronto and carolina hit in the 2023 playoffs. They didn't do their homework it looks like.
Babcock is their coach now
Tampa held the title of biggest flop until 2022 Boston Bruins said hold my beer.
Completely out coached by torts here. No other answer to this. Or it could be sicne they just snuck in thst the jackets were already playing playofff style hockey for a bit

This is what ice hockey is all about – psychology and play-offs. What to do during regular season in order to peak at the right time – all my friends in pro hockey are constantly looking for that holy grail!
It certainly takes a hot top goalie and a "whatever it takes" attitude. Many times neither the loser nor the winner knows and fully understands what lead to that outcome and are not able to reproduce or prevent the same thing from happening again. Was it just Torts? I don't think so – but he was certainly the catalyst and the players were able to start a fire with Torts' spark…whatever it takes!
You cover kucherov getting a one game suspension but failed to mention how he tried to "kill a guy"
