THG a les Diables pour remporter la Coupe

Il semble que Shannon va à contre-courant, car la plupart des médias semblent favoriser la Caroline. Personnellement, je suis trop pessimiste pour accepter cela, mais j’aimerais être surpris.

Once y’all get a legit #1 goalie, the cups will come.

Did Carolina lose a bunch of players or something? That series was lopsided in their favor.

    These predictions mean jack

    Edit: no pun intended

Why are you pessimistic? This team finished third in the NHL last year and is not even fully done rebuilding. They are only going to get better. No reason to be pessimistic. The team is completely stacked with home grown, 21 year old all stars, who are locked up on long term contracts.

Luke Hughes looked explosive in the playoffs and only game he had in the regular season last year, he had a whole offseason to get better and got a little older. The guy is going to be a stud. Adding a guy like that to an already stacked lineup will do wonders.

Bottom line is this team could easily win the whole thing this year. Will they? Time will tell. But this team looks like a budding dynasty. I think they will be the next great dynasty in hockey. That’s how well they are put together.

A team like Carolina doesn’t have the pure talent like New Jersey in my eyes. They got lucky with scheduling in the playoffs and other factors

Think the boys learned a lot with that enthralling round one victory and that humbling second round exit.

I expect a slightly worse regular season point total but a team ready to prove it self come April.

Damn. A Jets SB win and a Devils Cup win in the same season. Idk if my heart can take that. But at least ill die happy

Gonna go 82-0 and then 16-0, easy peasy

I still think this is a growth year for a lot of the core. However I think a surprise run to the finals might not be too surprising by the end of it. I wouldn’t say they’re the favorites to me, but if they come out of the east I really really like their chances.

I’d be thrilled but I think we still have some holes to fill – whether those holes are going to fill from current players or outside. Not convinced the goaltending is good enough to bail out defensive issues that our system generates or vice versa, but I’d love to be wrong. We won a lot of games via our offense but in the playoffs we gave up a shit load of chances and goals against. Not sustainable.
