Really curious to know what Quinn said to him in the end there during the handshakes.
Benning the sniper
didnt even come close to saying his name right
He’s exciting but also a gamble. Hopefully he grows in the KHL and uses his experience to do well in the NHL.
Love it.
Here before all Vancouver fans hype him up like he’s a god or something
Looks like Horvat is getting a new right winger.
It doesn't matter about the 2 years bcus of the 2020 lockout cancels it out we'll get to see him same with Nikita tryamkin if he returns in 2021 Canucks will be a force to be messing with.
Picked the wrong dude to announce their pick
Remember everyone, Petey was a gamble when he was drafted. Only time will tell if the gamble will pay off. I like the fact Jim rolled the dice.
-steamer: "vasiliyev podstrovin"
I really don't like the Canucks, but this is a great pick. Last year with Quinn amazing pick. This guys is going to look great with Peety.
Was that the name of our draft pick or was he having a stroke?
This dude has two years left on a khl contract.😬
Vasiliev Podslovin
hopefully Vancouver wont waste his career like they do with other picks
Tryamkin returning and Panarin to Vancouver confirmed.
He is a gamble but with those two years left in his contract will allow him to develop a little more after all he is 18 not even close to his prime and he could play defensively if needed and from the sounds of it he might be an addition to the PK unit. We will see when he makes his debut what’s he has to bring. Been a wild ride this rebuild and it’s starting to pay off. Now if the injury count stays down
Vasilien Potzlovan
Pc will trade him for a bag of pucks
Very nice
The feed for this was a joke. They showed his compete level by displaying clips of him head butting a dude and being an overall douche bag.
Wow steamer had trouble getting the words out lol
Steamer really butchered Podkolzin's name lol
He could be beat Caulfield in a fight……
lol playing Vancouvers Holiday goal song
Trust Jim benning he knows the kid

Criticize picks like Jake, a big guy like Vasily, but I trust Benning, if only because he has squeezed 15 goals and an overall effective player out of Virtanen. Development and patience are HUGE when it comes to drafting effective players and so far, Benning has proven he's great at drafting and developing players and doesn't quit on them because they have slow starts to their careers. Power forwards take longer. Hopefully Vasily plays at least a year in Russia to refine his skills, then we can bring him over and decide what the next steps should be.
Uh oh someone’s grandpa got on stage…
Russian Bulldog!
”Potzflovah”? Come on, at least learn the name of the guy you’re about to draft.
Benning hitting the just for men hard
Has a opt out clause he can come over after 1yr if he wants too
it would've been hilarious if there was an obscure russian with that name in the draft that would've been surprised to have his name called so early
in Podkolzinian fashion
Canucks always make dumb draft decisions. They picked this guy, he can't even play for two years now cause he's on contract in Europe. Like. Come on. This is all business, they do this, then sign the aging Edler so they can suck again and get another top 10 round pick. It's all dirty business. They don't care how many wins they get, the most important thing is to charge 150$ per ticket and earn their millions. We'll see you in the playoffs in 2022 I guess, MAYBE. Maybe the Grizzlies will be back by then.
Vasilia Pozklafin
Caufield is better
Vasilia Podstroganoff
Podzolkin is the next Smyl.
That's a nasty salad
Васильев под кофе)
he doesn’t even know English
I mean the canucks didn't draft any Russians in the first and second round in the last couple of years, so why not? Also, for once Benning made a good point. “We weren’t concerned about his remaining 2-years KHL contract. Any player, even drafted in the first round would’ve probably needed 1-2 years to develop”.
