  1. Habs fans are a joke and do not know what hockey is…..

They pushed Patrick ROY out of montreal

They said Halak was better than Price at one point.

They compared the latest Reinbacher to HITLER!!!!

Quebecois people do not know hockey. Want proof? Make a team Quebec right now…. compare it to a Team Ontario or Team BC or Team Saskatechwan….. Quebec can barely make an NHL team while other provinces can make an OLYMPIC level team

  2. I truly trust that Slaf was the best pick, in 2022. He’ll be good in a near future.

  3. Since you dont understand Slovak you dont understand what kind of player this will be, the humility and drive to be better and most importantly leadership, let you just wait and see

  4. Yea eh look at them fools in edm it took them like 3 first overalls b4 they got it rite and it will probly take em 2-3 more 1st overalls to get to the ship! No worries les habitants

  5. KK wasn't a bust look at him in Carolina he is doing well and has a good celling all he needed was patience and less pressure yes being in MTL comes with it but honestly KK isn't as bad as half the people who talked about him said he was. He's a good 2 way Center that can do a lot and look yes for now he may look like an over-glorified 3C give him 2-3 years I'll bet you he'd be a damn good 2C. remember KK is 23 and Slaf is 19 so calm down like the meme says.

  6. Read the Basu article on the Athletic from yesterday. I’m a Habs fan. Slafk is unique overall last few drafts.

  7. Well than a middle six player shouldn't be selected first overall… that simple.

  8. Slaffy is a bust he’s gonna be a mild 6 grinder fuck that guy lost all respect after he did that dirty hit on my boy Matt luff and said it was a clean hit

  9. jagr was one of the all time great nhl players to compare someone to him and then they go out all year and score 4 goals shows how little you know about hockey !

  10. Sucks the pressures these kids get but I guess that just comes with the territory. Hope he can turn it around this season and most importantly keep his head up

  11. I'm a die-hard Habs fan… admittedly!!!!
BUT….I and probably most of your viewers consider myself/ourselves a fair judge of talent….so let's assess Slafkofsky fairly as I think you've done here:
    1. He lit it up on the international stage at the WC for his country before the draft and that means….. absolutely nothing!!!! Seems a lot of people were going nuts over his play "among men" but in reality it really wasn't a fair assessment of his talents as he was playing on the big ice surfaces.
    2. He was like a fish out of water on the NHL ice surfaces….he just didn't adjust well….does that mean he won't figure it out??? No!!! We've got to give him a couple of seasons to REALLY get a sense how he will fare.
    3. He got injured. Enough said!!!
    4. Habs should have sent him to Laval to develop his game early on. That was their main error with Slafkofsky. You are spot on….not every player is a McDavid, Crosby, etc. Habs should have sent him to Laval to gain experience and confidence.
Slafkofsky is now healthy again and this will be a big year for him BUT as you noted…. he's still a teenager and we must be patient with the kid and see what develops over the next few seasons to truly get a sense of how good he'll be. Look at Lafrenierre in NY…. he's in the same boat.

  12. I don’t know anyone who actually knows anything about hockey that is calling him a bust, the people that may be saying that are not real hockey fans and understand nothing about player development.

  13. If Slaf can stay heatlthy, I can see 40-50 pts… he really just needs to keep his head up and not get hurt… Development takes time, he is still growing up, let him adjust and grow into himself…

  14. My man you just have to stop listening to those leafs fans lol. They still think it's "their year" for like the 5th consecutive season. Don't you see they know nothin about the game? 🫣😆

  15. KK was the hurricanes best player the second half of last season. He was one of the best players in the league, after the start of the second half. Montreal gave up on KK FAR too early.

  16. Thank you Johnny for your realistic commentary regarding Slaf despite the naysayers.

He's so young and hasn't even played a whole season yet.

  17. He wiahes he was Yakapov lol, Yak had a muxh better rookie season. This guy is a massive bust.

  18. Too early to tell and Hughes said he'd take years developing, not a generational draft and not expected to be a 50 goal scorer. Anyone ignoring those facts are idiots. He was 1st overall in a shitty draft, no other player in that draft played as many NHL games as him, he has size, hits and will find the back of the net regularly with time.

  19. Slafkovsky gets 0 points cause he will be playing with the Rocket Laval farm team this season.

  20. He’s not going to be a “bust”. There’s too much of his game that’s projectable as a 3rd liner to fully bust. I’d be pretty shocked though if he’s not a disappointment for a 1OA pick. I never though a guy with such piss poor Liiga production belonged anywhere near 1OA talks. I think he probably ends up with a similar impact to Kakko. Both definite disappointments for 1/2 picks but not busts
