It would be a huge mistake to trade him unless your getting upgraded for him and I don't see that happening.
I would trade Nylander before I would trade Brodie. A top 6 forward and a top 4 defenseman , both physical players would go a long way to help this team.
Brodie has gotten turnstiled at the most crucial times in the most crucial games in the playoffs. Regular season Brodie and playoff Brodie are two different players.
I like Brodie, but the one thing he's missing is the ability to get into a bad mood and take it out on his opponents (one thing I REALLY like about McCabe). Bad moods can really help. Smart bad mood, not dumb bad mood.
Brodie is basically a more skilled and (much) smarter version of Justin Holl. Although I think he's paid fairly, I'm not sure what's worth more to the team: his play or his cap savings. I won't be offended if he stays or goes.
