Alot of these trade talkes have been media pushing it. If you listen to Chevy interviews all summer a trade for Mark of Connor wasnt really on the table.
No, they want to put together a losing team and get the heck out of Winnipeg altogether. That's sarcasm btw. Of course they want to put together a winning club. Even if Winnipeg loses the team due to financial constraints, which is very possible, they will have a much better chance of relocating elsewhere with a solid group of players. It would be a real shame if it comes to that. Winnipeg without the Jets just isn't the same city at all. They should do everything they can to keep the club there even if it means bringing up many from farm team @ wholesale wages for upcoming players. I hear they may be bringing the team to Thunder Bay, Ontario. All those guys will be more than happy to have the opportunity to play in the NHL regardless. A team like that could just surprise the hell out of everyone. Just because someone says they are not NHL caliber does not make it true. I don't think having them move to Winnipeg to play in the MTS as well is a very good idea. I may be uninformed about all of this so maybe you could do an update show about the whole situation?
Then the could lower the prices of season tickets at the same time and make it affordable for the fans and fill the arena. It all comes down to the economy gentlemen. IMHO
I wonder if there'd be interest in a trade with Nashville: Scheifele for Cody Glass + a 1st? Might make sense.
I just don't like the idea of re-signing Scheifele. Not a fan of the idea.
I had a dream last night, that 37 and 55 both have to stay in Winnipeg, because no other team offered suitable contracts. Every day I open my browser expecting a headline that they were traded somewhere, but thanks to the hockey god, they are still Jets. If both stay, the Jets make the playoffs, stay competitive, Helly signs and 55 as well. Guess Chevy had the same dream 🙂
