Byfield will be better this season & even better next season. But I don't think he will lived up to the #2 over all pick tho =(

Pfffftttt..Stutzle was the obvious pick to me. Anyone who watched the WJC could see that Timmy was going to take the league by storm. Okay, as Yanetti or whafever says it will take time with Byfield, but so what? It could also take time to realize he isn't going to make it. Terrible pick, maybe one of the worst of all time. Your Sens buddy over there pretty much said it. Tim had the drive and that's #1. Taylor Hall for all his abilities never put it together except for one good year because lets face if, he's not MacKinnon or Crosby. He's not going to put in that level of effort. Just a horrible decision. One of those where really people should stand to lose their jobs. All the best to Byfiled. I see his as a qullity player but jeez louise, you had a superstar right there for the taking and you blew it.
Are best chance to win a cup is with Kopitar and Doughty playing well. That's 1 to 2 years max, so Byfield, Clark and Talbot have to contribute big time this year. The longer it takes these dude's to get there shit together the more they are going have to produce because Kopi and Drew will be on the decline. Byfield has to start playing like Brown played, just hit somebody, make them fear you.

This has been my favorite show with another locked on host, that was a fun show, as far as Pepe and Tkascumbag, if you jam fingers into someone's mouth you might get some teeth.
Came across some videos of stutzle prior to the 2020 draft and he was incredibly great.
The question is not only why in the world did the kings pass but Why did the rangers as well.

As far a zegras over turcott goes, man they played on the same team maybe even the same line and zegras was a far better player.

lol talbot. gets his jimmies rustled that the wild trade for fleury and wont commit to him beyond one year. demands a trade out. has a bit of success in ottawa and wants that long term $$ again. shits the bed again and ends up in LA on "show me" contract and barely in the league.
Sens fan coming in peace! I really hope Byfield takes the next step. Really liked him as a prospect and have always liked the Kings, too. They're def my western conference team and Im never upset to see them in the playoffs or making a push.
With Talbot I felt part of the problem was he'd have an amazing game for the Sens, and then they'd run him back out for the next 4 starts until he had a real stinker. Then eventually he got hurt. I think with smarter management of his starts he would've fared better here in Ottawa.
LAK host, next time try asking about the Sens road games, specifically western road trips… until Otts can get over their 'head' games, if they make it to the playoffs, even then they won't be real contenders. 11 regular time road wins out of 15 wins and a possible 41, 20 regular time home wins out of their 24/25 wins out of a possible 41 home wins. Former owner chasing fans away? OR team stinking that badly and continuing up until and including last year.

Without knowing what I know now, as a Sens fan, I was happy with either Byfield or Stutzle but was hoping a little more for Byfield as he was advertised as a big physical C. Worked out for us but Byfield is still super young and people are impatient now a days and expect high 1st round picks to become studs out of the gate but it takes time for a lot of these kids.
Not winning that draft lottery was one of the best things to happen for the Sens in a while.
I'm a Sens fan I remember when we drafted Stutzle I was really happy. There was a part of me that liked the size that Byfield had and wondered about how him and Brady would tear up the league but at the time it didnt matter who we got aslong as our GM chose one of them, our scouts/gm tend to go off the board for no reason sometimes and fans get angry about that ,however funny enough a lot of times it works out for us.
Anyway Stutzle is a skilled player who is confident , he played with the big boys in Germany when he was a teenager and he was the best player and leader over there. I saw him in the WJC and he was a big reason Germany got so far, you could tell that he loves the game and also really hates to lose , even when he has a good game he says he has to be better. Kid is not lazy and always wants to be the best he can be, also played amazing after he got his new contract which is a relief because I've seen many players sign big deals and then just coast.
Byfield will be great a couple years, maybe as soon as this season.

I remember scouting Byfield and wanting Byfield at #3 and was not happy having to get Stutzle.
After that, I did a bunch of research and said wow this kid played with men while living alone since 17y old so i had lots of hope. 🍻 he over performed and now of course were just so hyped now!!
Talbot was much better than the stats show. The defense was horrendous when we had Zaitsev playing 22 minutes a night. Talbot was constantly injured last year and it looked like he was fighting through injury and coming back early to try and help the playoff push. He was extremely good on December and January's which kept the team alive. He will be solid in LA behind that strong defense, probably like a 2.4-2.7 range and a .908-.915.
This draft was like THE BEST ever for me. I had 0 stress… I liked Byfield and Stutzle both – was very happy LA got to make the choice for us! We will never know who the Sens would have taken. I still think Byfield will be OK just not Timmy superstar level. I was pissy though with Sanderson pick haha….. uhh now look kinda dumb. This is why I'm a fan and not the GM
