  1. This game was played on Apr 12, not the 17th as in the description. This was a best 2 out of 3 series. Leafs won 7-4, and the series, 2 games to none.

  2. Funny watching some of the Leafs fans waving around toy Stanley Cups in the stands. This game was almost 30 years ago and Leafs haven't won a single Cup that whole time.

  3. Geez Leafs…you should have saved something for the next 40 miserable years!!!

  4. I was at this game. Have some of it on 8mm film. Unfortunately I missed this remarkable part.

  5. I love this vintage hockey. Great memories and great time to be a fan. Thank you for posting this.
Let's see – the Flames failed in Atlanta and were relocated; the Thrashers failed in Atlanta and were relocated; so naturally when expansion comes up again, Bettman will probably go right back to Atlanta instead of, say, anywhere in Canada. Will someone please remove that jackass from the NHL already???

  6. Freedom in Ontario in those days sadly the gov't won't be "allowing" fans at Leafs games probably for years! Authoritarian rule now. Anyways Go Leafs Go!!

  7. Damn i don't remember Darryl sitler with a helmet when did that start? And I was watching hockey back then.

  8. I thought it was hilarious how the whole team can come off to celebrate a goal and not get a delay of game penalty.

  9. It's so weird to see the entire team get off the bench when you score. I think you'd get a penalty for that now. And that Atlanta coach is so pissed off.

  10. They should trade Lanny after this series… he looks past his prime 😂😂😂😂🤪🤪🤪🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡

  11. Dan Bouchard was a horrendous playoff goalie (13-30) .880 lifetime save% , the year before he lost to Detroit and was horrible and both years Atlanta had a really good team. This Atlanta team won 41 games and Toronto was average with 34 wins.

  12. Does anyone know the name of the Flames player they show at 2:30

The goofy looking guy wearing the red helmet.

  13. I knew they were going to take the series after surviving that wild first game. Pretty sure it's still a record.
