@Ligue nationale de hockey

    « He had a face-off percentage of 49.4% »

This reminds me of that Simpsons quote, « Sounds like Springfield’s got a discipline problem. Maybe that’s why we beat ’em at football nearly half the time, huh? »

  2. Roguemutantbrain

He 55 blocs. He attac. He protecc.

  3. MrSCR23

He’s definitely a solid player, definitely could use a center that’s better on face-offs.

  4. MooshSkadoosh

    +4, 49% faceoffs, 19 minutes a night don’t scream « monster », but he’s still great and underrated.

He was my favorite Wild when I first started watching 3 years ago. Probably still. I think he’s great. Also super gritty.

  6. ViewedConch697

If he upped his FO% above 55%, he could very easily get into the Selke finalist convo. For now, he’s probably « just » an A tier two way guy

Guys money in fantasy if you count hits

  8. MrGlomple

Shame he had the leg injury in the playoffs last year. We needed him.

Love that blank stare that pisses off whomever is in his path!

    list some hardware? not stats

  11. Remarkable_Desk_7881

And the way he can make others take penalties….yeah, the Wild are def better when he’s on the ice

  12. Hutch25

He’s another Danault. He’s not an exceptional player, but he’s a reliable guy.

  13. ziggyjoe212

I have no idea who this is.

  14. Otterslayer22

Would have been better with 54 blocks last season……

All hail the 2015 draft. So many excellent players and JEE is up there frustrating us by eliminating those MacKchances. Now with Novak breaking out last year, this draft just keeps on giving.

  16. catlindee

I don’t think he’s underrated. He gets mentions around trade deadline and some folks in the Oilers subreddit have spent many a post trying to prove he would be a perfect 3C for us. Not even close to “one of the best” two way centres yet.

  17. sanderstj

If he was better at face offs, I’d agree.

  18. MnMadeMan250492

Playoffs would of hit a whole lot different had he been healthy looking forward to the start of the season Ekker Freddy G and Gus Lets gooooo!

  19. Non-Vanilla_Zilla

I’ve liked him ever since he blocked 3 Webbombs on 1 shift.

  20. MnMadeMan250492

What if there was a way to get fiala back on the bench that would be a squad not gonna lie !

People talking about fsceoffs, that means he wins one less face every 100 times.

In what universe does that matter.

Even a match up of 55 percent versus 45 percent, thats 10 more face offs per hundred., so in a tpyicwl game the elite guy will win max 2 additional face offs against your worst (if based on %).you will find more elite centers don’t get good at fsceoffs until the mid twenties. And even then, you will have aho draisaitl pettersson, which I’m not trading for beagle.

  22. Ok-Car1006

Doesn’t get enough recognition I agree

  23. HawtPackage

55 blocks is not a huge amount. To be honest this entire post could be a copypasta. I think Tavares had like 120 blocks, 80 points and was like -6 with like a 55% face off percentage. Is he also a monster?

  24. rustyskies

Face offs are so overrated if that’s where he sucks I’ll take it.

  25. Mr September himself!! We’d be lost without him.

  26. nair-jordan

Last year as a 20/21 year old, Tim Stützle had 39 goals, 90 points, 49 blocks, 114 hits, all while killing penalties.

His faceoffs are basically the last thing he needs to work on, but with Giroux teaching him I think he’ll be just fine.
