2022 is looking mighty interesting for a threepeat… honestly, memes aside, Toronto may have very well been the second best team in the league this season. Even Steven Stamkos admitted that it was the toughest series he had ever played in his entire career. High praise from one of the best players in the game. I think it could have gone either way, and it all came down to a bit of luck on either side. After all, they lost 5-0 in the first game of the series.
I somehow think the first round was Toronto was the hardest series they will play this playoffs.
With that in mind, I am quietly rooting for Tampa to create the first dynasty in decades.
