À quel point est-ce grave : les Oilers d’Edmonton

Je crois vraiment qu’ils peuvent rebondir cette année, mais il faudra beaucoup de choses pour que cela se produise. 1. RNH is and will be Mc davids winger. The chemistry is there they would be dumb to keep putting him back on centre

  2. Wait what? Why do you have Klefbom with Benning? Lucic with McDavid? Rattie without McDavid is an AHLer. Strome LW and Nuge back at C? I really don’t think you put much effort into this.

  3. Reading all these comments, I feel like nobody is talking about the real problem… motivation! After starting slow last year, the coach made a comment to the press instead of keeping things in the locker room, that the 'star players' on the team better start playing like 'stars'…. Even Don Cherry noted when it happened that "this coach just lost all respect in the locker room." Nothing changes till they move on to a different coach. Maybe they won't find a better one? But at least one that players want to play for!

  4. This makes me sad. You guys totally could've enjoyed more than a few adult beverages without spending any more than you do back home.

Again, it kills me that I missed your stay. sigh

Speaking of "ideally" … maybe next time (if there is one) you guys can stay downtown? 100% different feeling to the city, FWIW.

  5. They got some defensive issues. However, through offense they could negate those problems. Talbot might ounce back and they could be legit.

  6. Oilers will suck and tank for another first overall pick, then trade away a previous first overall pick, (Nugent Hopkins) get fleeced in the deal, and the cycle will repeat itself.

  7. It's not that bad. Down the middle the team is as deep as any team in the league…dare I say the best. Capable wingers that can keep pace with McDavid and company…that is a question mark. Lucic isn't the answer.

  8. You know mcdavid could find some success three hours south 😂😂

  9. Bouchard will be in the top 6 and give us a quarterback on the powerplay. I think sekera or russel will be the odd man out, sekera probably gets more in return but is older so I say we should trade russel for a pick to drop his salary even if we only get a 4th or 5th round pick for him.

  10. I dont see any sign for optimism with the oilers outside of their top 3 centres. They are a franchise loaded with over paid and under performing vets like Lucic, Russell, Brodziak, Kassian, Sekera and Benning – and legacy projects that shouldnt even be on an ahl roster like Keegan Lowe and Nolan Vesey, (Benning isn't this bad but he is another legacy problem). They mismanage the cap horribly – Draisitl had no leverage to get $8.5×8, Giving Kostkenen $2.5 and only getting 1 year, buying out Gryba to save real dollars while putting yourself in a crunch for Nurse and still not upgrading on a roster that was bottom of the league the previous year. The only hopeful for oilers fans is that Talbot has a bounce back year and that Chia doesn't trade Klefbom for Zaitsev or Zadorov or some other comparitively aged defenseman with half the talent. Otherwise, I will be looking forward to heading to real sports 8 years from now to pick up my McDavid Maple Leafs jersey.

  11. I feel a lot of questions marks isn't a good thing. So i think crash and burn like last year.

  12. Love these How Bad Is It videos! Even if we don’t agree, great videos

  13. I think Rieder is playing with Draisaitl, they played together in world championships and had chemistry. Makes sense. He is a skilled player and this is a chance for him to break out

  14. They need to make moves to add players not trade a good for an ok maybe trade draft pick for top 2 d man for starters not trade klefboom for one and they don't have the cap space anyway cause cherelli over paid everybody look at Pittsburgh Crosby and Malkin make 16 mil combined not 20 and for crying out loud Russel at 4 mil

  15. There is no way Lucic can play with McDavid…he is way too slow to keep up. Can't score a goal in 30 games playing alongside McDavid. Lucic is a third liner at best. Never seen a player skate around with one hand on his stick like him…..Chiarelli should be gone and McLelland should of given Puljujarvi a better shot on #97's line…..

  16. I'll be honest …if I had the choice to pick right now id take Matthews over mcdavid not cause I'm a maple leaf fan …but because of numbers and reality …matthews is and will be a more effective player then mcdavid …ppl can call me stupid or dumb but go check the stats so far Matthews is bar down more effective not more skilled but more effective

  17. As a Flames fan I have to admit the Oilers suprised me last year. I thought they would have done a lot better. I think they will be better this year as long as they dont beat themselves mentally, like in the Hall/Eberle days.

  18. On paper, they have no reason not to be a solid, dangerous team, but that, in my opinion, was true last year, too. It didn't work out. There've been no major changes that would suggest that it'll work out differently than it did last year, but I have faith. The depth at forward is simply too impressive for two straight 2017/18's in my mind and while I don't see them as a contender anymore, I think at the very least they're in contention for a playoff spot.

  19. Oilers are to going to make the playoffs, easily, this year.

Oilers had sub 0.900 goaltending for most of the season. Talbot let in the first goal on the first shot in THIRTEEN GAMES. No team makes the playoffs with that. None.

If they had the same goaltending last year as they did the year prior, they'd likely would have been sitting at 96 points last year.

The good news for the Oilers is that in his final games, Talbot played very well and while it was too late, brought his personal stats up to 0.908 GAA. Which if the Oilers had in the first half would've even put them into fighting for a spot.

13 games of allowing goals the very first shot. That's 26 points that's made automatically harder to get.

  20. Nuge-McDavid-Caggiula
    Puljujarvi-Draisaitl-Reider
    Lucic-Strome-Rattie
    Kassian-Brodziak-Khaira
    Currie-Aberg-Yamamoto

    Larsson-Nurse
    Russell-Klefbom
    Bouchard-Benning
    Sekera-Bear

    Talbot-Montoya-Koskinen

  21. If we could snag a defenseman like Karlsson, it could really change the whole dynamic of this team. Too bad that’d only happen in my dreams -_-

  22. ide like klefbom on the red wings . the base of my offer is anthanasou and nyquist , i see anthansou with mcdavid forming the fastest most exciting line on earth . yes he's unproven but his power skating and speed are totally elite level and thusly has a huge ceiling . and nyquist being a solid add on the 2 line with draisaitl . so im wondering what more do the red wings have to add ?

  23. Making the playoffs 2 years ago did not make oil a "contender" lol. They will be very lucky to make playoffs this year to, and if they do, they still won't be anything close to a "contender".

  24. So guess kharas brother is playing for Everett Silvertips now he’s great

  25. havnt watched a game in 7 years because the game is so AMERICANIZED and pussy soft its DISGUSTING!That garbage today isnt HOCKEY

  26. Lol I thought this was a recent video for a second until you mentioned Lucic! Wow things stay the same in Oil County
