Nick Robertson is not a bust at all. He is super talented and a really really hard worker. He has just been unlucky with injuries. I think giving up on him would be a huge mistake.

you dont trade a player of robertsons caliber when his stock is lowest, hes making nothing against cap, get rid of jarnkrok and give the spot to robertson. theres no pressure on wins this early in the season, the leafs are a lock for the playoffs, let him play and see what he can do while also shedding cap in jarnkrok and letting the younger guys play.

Now using Cap Friendly of course, and realizing this is all hypothetical based on a computer simulation and a hockey software program, and since it is a potential business, Mr Price has 11 mill left on signing bonuses, and the balance of 2 mill base salary for this year and 4 mil combined for the next 2 years, that a potential owner can reach out and acquire to pay out the balance. Again, using CF, he had 83.33% of his contract on signing bonuses. Maybe NHLPA might want to look at the problems associated with inability to renogiates (contracts) especially for 'downtrodden' teams like the Canadiens? Can you imagine if Canadiens buy out Price's contract… lol
Robertson would likely be a middle 6 NHLer by now if his development didn't get interrupted by injury two seasons in a row. Keep in mind he's only 22, so chances are he'll be able to become a regular in the next couple seasons if he stays healthy and is given the opportunity.
