  1. UPDATE VIA CBJ ON TWITTER: "Associate Coach Pascal Vincent has been named Head Coach and has agreed to a two-year contract through the 2024-25 National Hockey League season"

  2. Where does it say "Babcock grabbed and then went through someones phone" 😂 Sounds like One guy "Willingly" Handed Him his phone and then Babs scrolled it made the Player Uncomfortable…

  3. Mike Babcock out as Head Coach i 'm shocked i didn't think what they said he did . Wonder if more will come out or may never know what really happen . Some people i know need to see a face with the name is it weird maybe . I could you ihave 2 Nephews ahd a bunch of Nieces and some of them people will ask if i have photos of them . Thought what i thought happen here the whole truth may come out or not only time will tell i said before i don't Babcock and it sounds like he did it to himself.

  4. You missed out one piece of what Elliott said. It took place away from the Jacket’s’ facilities—it was not in a secure environment and was not supervised.

  5. His sins against the game are many. Too bad we can’t talk the game away from Babcock completely. Imagine if we could ban him from being able to even watch it on television, and having a way to enforce it. Scumbag.

  6. The boss asking to see personal photos is intrusive beyond measure. Nothing there is any of his business.

  7. idk i always kind of hated the guy,, i hope the jackets can get a better coach

  8. As a player why would you even meet away from the arena and then hand over your phone. You can say no and not allow the person the phone. I don’t believe it. I still feel there is embellishment. The young players, different generations that are soft, woke and liberals. I don’t condone abuse and actions that are illegal, but I still think he is being railroaded by a bunch of young soft players. The article doesn’t say he grabbed the phone. The players would of had to hand their phones over. Utterly CRAP! What happened to hardcore players who stood up and were rough and tough? I am a total hockey fan but I don’t want to watch a bunch of players who cry over everything. Again, I am all for firing and even pressing charges against someone who breaks the law, but I am not convinced Babcock meant to be malicious regarding this. Hell, I would have shared photos in my phone with my coach of my family because I am proud of them and where I came from. Don’t know if I will ever follow the Columbus Blue Jackets Again, they are a complete train wreck of an organization from the management down. The players that are respected and good need to get out of Columbus FAST! You are on a sinking ship! I think it’s time to consider selling the team and moving it.

  9. All he wanted was to see pics of family and pets. But players that didn’t want him as their coach set this all up. They lied and blew this out of proportion to make him look worse. So Babs quit because he doesn’t want to work with a bunch of soft babies that lie.

  10. The leafs were paying this clown until June 2023 and now the blue jackets will take over paying him for nothing.

  11. Rather all of this is true or not the most alarming thing is that the younger players felt uncomfortable..

You can't command respect when a certain portion of your team is feeling uncomfortable around their head coach.. ESPECIALLY in the 2023 world we live in today.. it's just not gonna fly..

The energy was bad from the get-go and you just want to eliminate that asap as an organization.

You don't have to agree with it to understand it.

  12. 😂😂😂
    Babcock is an evil genius.
still being paid millions by the Leafs, and now the BluJackoffs .
