I think he can afford to spend on a team he will be the first and sole owner of.

If they’re against an AHL/NHL imbalance, how about they tell the independent AHL team(s) to fuck off first? We can’t just go without an affiliate, and it’s nearly impossible for us to do a split affiliate with another team because our style of hockey is so unique. Dundon is more than capable of creating/purchasing his own, so either let him or tell the pre-existing franchises to quiet down and pick up a parent club. It’s really that simple.
